| Creature of Japanese folklore with the head of a lion, the body of a horse, the feet of a tiger, and the tail of a cow. It was often invoked to devour bad dreams by placing a piece of paper asking it to do so under one's pillow, or by calling out its name after having a bad dream. It would then devour the bad dream and turn it into good fortune. |
