wife, Fatima. He gave her all the keys to his castle and
let her into every room except for one that he distinctly
forbade her to enter. However, when he left one day,
Fatima went into that forbidden chamber and unlocked the
door to find behind it a stash of bodies that were her
husband's former wives. Bluebeard returned to see Fatima
looking into the forbidden room and set himself to kill
her. Her brothers arrived just then and saved her from
the wrath of the ogre. |
