Jinni contained in a bottle, lamp, ring, or other trinket, capable of performing magical services when temporarily released. Bottle Imps can bring riches and wealth, but some accounts state that the owner of one will be condemned to hell. The bottle is indestructible, and if purposefully lost, it will return itself. The only sure way to get rid of it is to sell it for half the price one got it for.

Bottle imps are found in tales from different regions of the world, especially those with an Islamic influence. Stories of it are found in Arabia, several Hebrew legends, and in Mindanao (island found in the southern Philippines).
