One of a group of creatures with shaggy hair, the heads of dogs, the tails of pigs, and claws of panthers. They had wings but were unable to fly. They would lay eggs and suckle their young on dogbird milk. Acording to William Bingfield, the dogbird could be tamed and serve as a pet. |
