Nazgûl

	Demonic being, of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, that is bound to the One Ring. There are nine in all, and throughout the trilogy, they are in pursuit of Frodo, who carries the One Ring. They were once human but were corrupted by Sauron, who gave them rings that transformed them into the Nazgûl. They are inmpervious to all attacks, but they can be rendered helpless if they are knocked off their black steeds, which are their eyes and ears to this world.
