Belfast, Tennessee:
Ten Wheels For Jesus

That's what I was looking for! Irishmen as a country band. Well, we had something like that several times in history, Clash played with Joe Ely and Pouges played with Steve Earle. Ten Wheels are coming from Northern Ireland, its capital Belfast. Songs that this band offers to us can blow off most of the so called alternative country bands in the USA. Some of them sound all the same, aren't they? However this is different. Ten Wheels For Jesus are very up-beat and there's something really defiant in their expression. Punk roots probably. Main guy in the band is Patrick Calvert, but I can hear a beautiful female focal harmonizing in the back, and I wonder is she maybe sings solo too. All instruments are played virtuously. A little bit Warholized picture of Hank Williams is on the cover of their cd entitled: Hank Ain't In Hell. Open your beer, listen and enjoy:
