However, there were only two of them that proved they posed a threat to all others. One was clan Aensland, and the other was clan Maximov. Demitri Maximov was obsessed with ruling the demon world. He would have accomplished his goal, had the other clans not finally united for just long enough to banish him, as well as his castle and clan, to the human world. His pride shattered, Lord Maximov learned how to live as a vampire, and decided that he would build his power here. In the century that he stayed on Earth, he likely more than doubled his strength. It was finally time: Demitri Maximov would have his revenge. As he crashed through the barrier to the demon world in his giant blimp, he saw for the first time a woman that would haunt his obsessions forever; Morrigan Aensland. The two battled valiantly to see whom was the better, but just as Demitri was ready to claim his victory, the fight was interrupted by the Huitzil, who seek to destroy all darkstalker threats. Demitri and Morrigan combined made short work of them, but the battle was left unfinished. Maximov returned to the human world, his mind filled with lustful thoughts. It was not until after his second defeat at the hands of the mighty alien Pyron that he finally was able to resolve his feelings for Morrigan. Aensland found the dark prince under the rubble of his own castle, and as she went to help him out, he bit her neck; a vampiric sign of affection. Morrigan found that she was attracted to Demitri as well, and it remains uncertain what will become of this relationship; Demitri still wishes to rule all he sees, and Morrigan only wishes to be free to do what she chooses. Is there time for romance? |
