Back in August 2003, our next door neighbors were no longer "The Clampetts" of the block. These neighbors worked hard to make their home look nice. So what if they woke us up at 6:30 a.m. on a Sunday morning throwing debris into their pickup truck? We really shouldn't bitch because the place looked better. Now, unfortunately, it's littered with debris again. Enjoy these scenes from the few months it looked nice..
Before and After
What a difference!
Three houses to the east of us, past the Clampetts, the Ice Man and the Grey House, sits this piece of real estate. The punks who lived here for the last two-plus years moved just west of us last month, about six houses down. Their crap is still sitting outside; has been rained on several times and is most likely a breeding ground for rats. I wonder if their current landlord knows what condition they left this unit? The house they moved into is a very nice, well maintained home. Our guess is the house belongs to one of the punk's parents or grandparents. These are the same jerks who LOVE to speed down our street.
One tell-tale sign you are on the West side are these shotgun shacks with satellite dishes mounted on them. This one's dish can be seen on the upper left.
Close up view of the trash in the driveway. What items do you see? Do you spot a rat yet? A mattress and bucket along with wet cardboard boxes make for a lovely view. Mel called the local health department and was told an inspector will be by in a week. No problem, says Mel. It's been like this for a month now, what's another week? More on this developing story...
