Tracey Withrow joins sister at UNC-Greensboro

by Michael Kaylor

Tracey Withrow of Hockessin will be leaving Delaware and joining her sister on the UNC-Greensboro women's soccer team this fall.

Withrow, a defender at A.I. duPont High School, has helped lead her team to three consecutive state titles and earned first-team all-state honors.

A.I. duPont is consistently in the nation's Top 20, and rose to as high as fourth during Withrow's tenure.

She was a member of the FC Delco Under-18 club team that finished third in the 1999 national championships.

"Tracey is a big, strong defender who will keep you away from the goal," Spartans coach Jack Poland said. "She's very athletic and will be a big addition to our defense."

Jen Withrow, Tracey's sister, will be a sophomore at UNC-Greensboro this fall.
