Did anyone else find Alien4 extremely disappointing? I felt as though the entire sequence (which included the climax) involving that pale humanoid alien thing was just thrown in as an after thought to distract us from what the film *really* was: A lead in to Alien5. Look at how the damn movie ends with several loose ends. You don't crash a 12 mile long space ship into madagascar without someone noticing: fodder for the 5th, ecological tragedy and world wide destruction, collapse, etc. Also how do you think the Authority would feel about an outdated smuggling ship thats "older than [Ripley]" (who was, ironically, only about 3 months old at that point since she had been cloned, but if she meant since this whole wacking alien business began she'd be about 300) making an illegal planetfall? Surely they'd search the ship when it does land on earth. What would they find? let's see... Ripley, A human/alien hybrid, Call, a contraband android, and several dead people amongst whom we find a recently missing nickel miner with a monster sticking half out of his ribcage and a probably fairly well known (either famous or infamous) geneticist with the other half of the afore mentioned monster hanging out of his head. (Did anyone else notice that it was never shown that that little bugger was killed?)
Do you think they can get away with NOT making a 5th?
