Snitch Report on #145 by Rich and AAA

Hares:  Rich Roesing and AAA

While AAA and Rich were setting the trail, on clean, clear roads, under empty skies, AAA suggested that they should think of a name for the hash.  Rich replied that he had considered, "The Great White North Hash" back in December, but now that all the snow had melted in the north part of town, he'd better think of another name.

Thus, "My First Time" Hash for many reasons.  1.  Baby OnOnOnOn's first attempt at haring.  2.  Rich's first time to Hare.  3.  First time for Zena Princess Warrior to act as guest GM.  4.  First time for Amazing Grace to act as R.A.  5.  First time to have Shirely Temples served to the pack for down downs.  6.  First time AAA and Rich sat at his dining room table after three hours of setting a trail to watch the snow, saying, "How lovely," and then remembering that snow means the trail soon could be covered!

Rali eagerly invited Hashers into the house when they arrived.  Young Hashers quickly spotted the three cocker spaniel puppies up for adoption.  Much hugging, snuggling, etc. ensued at this point.  But Rali's nefarious plan failed--no Hashers adopted a puppy.  (Note to self for future:  offer puppies only to young Hashers whose parents aren't there to veto the adoption process.)

Zena did a fine job beginning the Hash with a HUGE "Check it out!!!"  Since the carefully-laid hash marks were now invisible, would-be FRBs were forced to crawl along at the pace of the pack.  AAA, sensing the amount of tension and unsatisfied longing that was building, quickly rushed to the rescue, allowing frustrated runners to work out their pent-up energy by lifting her car off a handy barbed-wire fence.

When the FRBs reached the church at Gracani, in the quiet village with the snow falling softly, they were so moved by the tender beauty of the moment...that they stealthily crept through the churchyard cemetary and set up a snowball ambush of the pack.

Thomas finished first!  The rest of the pack soon staggered to the finish and included Stefan, Selia, Marcho, Elena, Posh Spouse, Girlie Pants, Air Jordan, Monkey Business, Sarah, Zena Princess Warrior, Amazing Grace, AAA, Rich, Marinela, Zeljka, Micha, Nathaly, Robert, Ed, Sandy, Peter, Thomas, Julia, Sally, Tom, and Jeff.  GM Zena introduced the two new runners, Micha and Nathaly, who had their FIRST walk in snow ever!  The GM and RA offered down downs of Shirley Temples in iced goblets with a skewer of three kinds of fruit!  What a surprise!  It is the job of the Religious Advisor to punish all wrong doings and R.A. Amazing Grace was amazing!  She first asked all kids who threw snowballs to come to the middle.  The second down downs were celebrated by all grownups who threw snowballs at children!  That included everyone with the exception of Sally whose gloves were to thin to form snowballs without freezing her hands.  So, Sally was innocent but not becaus Some of the Pack retired to do homework and find dry clothes while the remainder went to dinner at Pivnica Mlinarica just down the street (very reasonable and well prepared food). 

You will have to take AAA and Rich's word that the trail was well thought out (thanks to Rich's wanderings daily in the neighborhood) and clearly marked with pink flour and pasta because the unpredicted snow soon covered every trace.  This was truly a great and memorable Hash!
