Lahore :1305 km.(811 miles) to the north-east of Karachi, just about 1.5 hours flight by Air ,is Lahore ,"the city of gardens" and the capital of punjab .It is an ancient town, rich in historical monuments, including some of the finest specimens of Mughal architecture. Historic buildings and spots around Lahore are:

  • Badshahi Mosque :One of the largest Mosques in the world, It was built during Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb`s rule.
  • Lahore Fort : Built in 1566 A.D. during Mughal Emperor Akbar`s period and later extended under the rule of other Emperors.
  • Mausoleum of Emperor Jehangir : It is a majestic mausoleum of the Mughal Emperor Jehangir, a fine specimen of Mughal architecture at Shahdra Lahore.
  • Mausoleum of Empress Noor Jehan : The tomb of Mughal Empress Noor Jehan lies beside Emperor Jehangir`s tomb across the railway line.
  • Wazir Khan`s Mosque :The Mosque situated inside "Rangmehal Bazzar" is another architectural ornament of Mughal period at Lahore.
  • Shalimar Garden : It was built during the rule of Emperor Shahjahan in 1642 A.D. as a recreational place for the Royal family.
  • Hiran Minar :Built during the rule of Mughal Emperor Jehangir early 17th century in memory of his pet antelop.It is a popular picnic spot having a garden and lake.
  • Changa Manga Forest : This forest has been converted into a national park and picnic spot about 68km from Lahore. It has a lake and a miniature railway which winds its way through the forest besides a resturant and resthouse.

    Islamabad & Rawalpindi : Islamabad is the national capital of Pakistan and one of the most modern and planned cities of the world constructed by the middle of this century. The twin city of Rawalpindi with the area around has from time immemorial been the cross-roads of history, travel and trade. It is now the base camp for proceeding to the Nothern areas of Pakistan.

    The places of interest in around Islamabad and Rawalpindi are Shakarparian Hills, Folk Heritage Museum, Daman-e-Koh, Rawal Lake, Rose and Jasmine Gardens, Rawat Fort, Ayub Park, Wah Gardens, Hassan Abdal and Texila etc.

    Peshawar & Khyber Pass : Situated 172 km from Rawalpindi in the mouth of legendary Khyber Pass, Peshawar is one of the most famous cities of central Asia. Places of interest in and around Peshawar are khyber Pass, Pehawar Museum, Qissa Khawani Bazar, Balahisar Fort, Landi Kotal, Warsak Dam and Darra Adamkhel where every house is a mini gun factory.

    Quetta : Formerly called "Kwatta"(meaning a Fort), within walls of which the old town is situated. No doubt it is a natural fort surrounded by imposing hills of Chiltan, Takatos, Mordar and Zarghun. The town is also famous for persian carpets, Baluchi mirror work, embroidery fresh and dry fruits. The places of interest in and arround Quetta are the Hanna Lake, Urak Valley, Geological Museum and Ziarat valley etc. .

    Hyderabad : The fourth largest city of Pakistan is 136 km. via super highway from Karachi. Places of interest in and arround are the Museum, the fort, Talpur Ruler`s Mausoleums, Kotri Barrage, Miani forests, Hala and Bhitshah, the resting place of Shah Abdul Latif, Sufi poet of sind.

    Thatta : About 98 km. from Karachi, Thatta is famous for Muslim architecture, historical monuments and ancient remains, Shahjehan Mosque buit during the rule of Mughal Emperor Shahjehan is a glorious example of Muslim architecture with glazed tile work.

    Makli :- Necropolis at nearby Makli hill having over a milion graves is famous for structures and tombstones which are the fine specimen of floral carving and calligraphy in stone.

    Karachi : The largest colorful and cosmopolitan city of pakistan is situated on the shores of the Arabian Sea.This city is an international air and sea port and the gate-way to Pakistan.Places of interest in and around Karachi are the Mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah,the Founder of Pakistan,the National Museum,the beaches of Cliftan,Manora Island,Hawkesbay and Sandspit Other sports around Karachi are:Chaukundi Tombs - about 27km(17 miles)from Karachi,are famous for graves with fine spcimens of floral carving and calligraphy in stone.Heleji Lake-about 70km(52miles)from Karachi it is a bird Watcher's paradise during Winter
