Obtained an early education from Sekolah Kebangsaan Gondang before continuing at Sekolah Menengah Pangkal Kalong until Form Five. After that, joined the Australian Consortium of Higher Education in Malaysia (ACHEM)Twinning Program at Mara Science College, Trolak and completed the study at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia. Started the career at the Universiti Putra Malaysia. Two years later, proceeds with postgraduate study at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Currently, pursuing study at PhD level at the University of Stirling, Scotland.
Married to Sheriza Mohd Razali on 5 October 2001 and has been blessed with a son, Mohd Amirudin Solihin on 14 November 2003.
