Bardock Saga

This saga is before the Dragon Ball series

Years ago, Freeza took over Planet Vegeta and used its inhabitants, the Saiyans, as his personal planet pirates. He used the Saiyans to destroy, capture, or pillage a planet. On one planet conquest, Bardock is with his teammates as they wipe out another planet. Tooro, a surviving member of the dying planet is able to curse Bardock but allowing Bardock to gaze into his future. Tooro is killed and Bardock recovers back to Planet Vegeta. Meanwhile, Bardock's son, Kakarot, is born. In addition, Freeza begins to grow tired of seeing the Saiyans become stronger and stronger. Freeza is worried that a group of them could band together and ultimately bring his downfall. Vegeta, the prince of all Saiyans who has a huge power level for his age, asks Freeza to be sent to another planet with Nappa so that they may destroy it.

As Bardock recovered, his teammates leave to destroy another planet without him. Once Bardock regains consciousness, he goes to join his teammates. At the planet all goes normal until Bardock sees his teammates dead. A dying Saiyan is found by Bardock.

From the dead Saiyan, Bardock learns of Freeza's plot to destroy all the Saiyans, by blowing up Planet Vegeta. Bardock then encounters some of Freeza's goon squad and fights, but Bardock begins to see a vision of his son growing up in his head and he then begins to lose his concentration. Still, Bardock is able to make quick work of all the henchmen except Dodoria. With just one fireball attack, Dodoria is able to defeat Bardock. Meanwhile, Kakarot is being sent to the planet Earth to destroy it.

Bardock survives the Fireball attack, but he is severly injured. Despite his horrid condition he travels back to the planet Vegeta to warn the other Saiyans of Freeza's plot. Barodck finds ans informs his comrades, but they all mock Bardock because they think he is making the whole thing up. Bardock is angry and he decides that he must change the future  all by himself. Freeza's spaceship approaches and Bardock flies towards it in a fit of rage. (Meanwhile, Coola's ship flies away from the other side.) Hundreds of Freeza's henchmen are dispatched from his ship and attack Bardock. Bardock defeats everyone who attacks him. The Freeza exits his ship and laughs at Bardock. Bardock, in a desperate attempt to win, sends his final Fireball attack at Freeza, but Freeza's Super Fireball is easily able to cancell out Bardock's. Freeza's fireball heads towards Bardock and kills him, the henchmen, and Planet Vegeta. Before Bardock dies he sees the future one last time. He sees his planet blow up, his son growing up, and he sees a grown up Kakarot attack Freeza.. He dies a happy death knowing a secret.

Vegeta and Nappa were at another planet at the time, so they survive and learn that a meteor destroys Planet Vegeta. ( In the DBZ series Vegeta is in Freeza's ship and he knows all about Freeza destroying Planet Vegeta) Kakarots brothers, Raditz and Turlis, were also elsewhere and surivived. Kakarot is on earth and was taken in by Son Gohan.

Thus begins the Dragon Ball series....
