The Vegeta Series
The beginning series of Dragon Ball Z

Enter Raditz :

The Vegeta series starts off whena Saiyan, Raditz, lands on a farm on earth. Raditz a large Saiyan that looks very similar to Goku, except he is taller and has longer hair then Goku. Raditz also has the Saiyan tail and a scar here and there. A scared farmer fires a shot at Raditz, but Raditz easily catches the bullet. Raditz uses a power level detecting device, scouter, to find Goku, Kakarot. On his way, Raditz finds Piccolo. He insults and threatens Piccolo, and after a while Piccolo unleashes one of his most powerful blasts on Raditz. A large energy blast engulfs Raditz, but Raditz acts as if nothing had just happened. Raditz then leaves the startled Piccolo to go look for Goku.

Meanwhile, Goku has just entered Mr.Roshi's island for a visit, since he has not seen his friends in years. They were planning on having some sort of a reunion. Krillin, Bulma, Roshi, and Turtle are all waiting on the island for Goku. When Goku arrives, he brings along his son, Gohan. Gohan is introduced to everyone and everyone is in a good mood, then Raditz arrives.

Raditz informs everyone that he is a Saiyan warrior, a planet Pirate. He explains how Saiyans are a bunch of ruthless and warlike people that love a good fight. He explains how Goku was send as a young boy from Planet Vegeta to conquer the weak planet of earth. Raditz wants to get Goku back for some extra man power for another mission he has. Of course everyone is in disarray and totally dumbfounded. All of a sudden  Roshi tells Goku that he did come here as a young boy, and when he was small that he fell on his head and suffered amnesia. Goku had forgotten his mission of destroying all of the inhabitants of Earth. Radditz is appalled that Goku has lost his tail and thinks that is the reason why he is no longer aggressive. He explains that his tail, which was surgically removed, was he true power because that is what is needed to become the mighty Ozauru. The giant monkey animal. This is when Goku first finds out that it was he, Goku, who killed Grandpa Gohan.

Acting like a tough guy, Krillin tells Raditz to "shoo" to beat it. Raditz is disgusted, and with a whip of his tail, he sends Krillin flying into Roshi's house. Goku gets angry and attacks Raditz, but Raditz proves to be a lot stronger then Goku and floors him with just one knee to the stomach. Radditz notices that Gohan has a tail and so learns that it is Goku's son. He takes him hostage and leaves Goku with an Ultimatum, that Goku must destroy 50% of the species on earth. If Goku fails, he will never see Gohan again. Raditz leaves, and Roshi and Krillin decide to join Goku in the battle against Raditz. Then out of no where PICCOLO!! Everyone is surprised to see that arrival of Piccolo. Piccolo explains that Goku and company will never be able to defeat Raditz. This is when an alliance forms between Goku and Piccolo, because Piccolo does not Raditz hindering him from conquering Earth. They agree to work together to finish Raditz off. Piccolo explains that he is only doing this to further his own world domination plans.

World's Strongest Pair :

Goku and Piccolo have no trouble finding Raditz, since Gohan had a Dragon Ball on his hat. They followed them with the Dragon Radar (remeber it from Dragon ball) They arrive to find Gohan trapped crying in radditz's space ship. They must first fight Radditz to get Gohan. Raditz watches as Goku's and Piccolo's power level rises as they take off their weighted clothing. The two warriors go at it full force, but Raditz is just too much for them. Radditz manages to get rid of one of Piccolo's arm and knock Goku to the floor.

Piccolo then informs Goku that he has a new super attack, but he needs 5 minutes to perform his new attack. Goku then attacks Raditz so he can let Piccolo power up. Raditz is confused, he does not believe that Piccolo and Goku can concentrate their power levels into certain spots. Goku sends a huge Kamehameha towards Raditz, but Raditz is able to cancell the blast out. Lucklly Raditz's attention is caught by Gohan's rising power level, and then Goku is able to grab his tail. Raditz's tail is a major weakspot, and Raditz can barely move and talk. Raditz begins to beg for life, and before Piccolo can shoot out his special attack Goku lets go of Raditz., Raditz then kicks the crap out of Goku, and manages to only get a minor shoulder wound from Piccolo's attack.

Meanwhile, Gohan's power level begins to skyrocket. He all of a sudden, blasts out of the space ship and explodes in a rage of energy. He power level increases to over 1000!! Radditz at first thought this was impossible until Gohan knocked Raditz in the stomach, and pierced his armor. Raditz is in agonyand is confused. Raditz pushes Gohan away and knock Goku down. He then is about to finish Piccolo, but GOku manages to grab him. Radditz pleas for his life, but this time Goku does not let go. Piccolo sends his special Makensappo attack and kills both Goku and Raditz.

Raditz asks why Goku sacrified his life just to destroy him, Piccolo explains to him that earth has objects that can revive him, Dragon Balls. Raditz tehn explains that everything that he just told him was also told to Radit'z fellow Saiyans, the last of the Saiyans, and that they are going to be in earth in one year.Raditz laughs because his friends are much stronger then he is, and Piccolo then kills him. Goku dies as well, and Piccolo takes Gohan for special training.

The training scramble!!

Piccolo and Gohan :

Everyone starts to begin training for the arrival of the Saiyans Piccolo noticed how powerful Gohan was when he knocked Radditz, so he decides to train him. Piccolo takes Gohan to a wild island and  leaves him there. Piccolo explains that he will train Gohan if he survives, but Piccolo helps Gohan along the way. He also shows Gohan that he has strong inner powers, by throwing him into a mountain which Gohan blows up in a fit of rage. Piccolo then leaves Gohan on the island.

Gohan recieves fruit and a sword form Piccolo. Piccolo meanwhile is training hard. he is moving geological objects and a clone of himself. Gohan is able to adapt to his enviroment and eventually builds a raft to leave the island. He gets lost in a storm and is taking in by some orphans. Gohan eventually makes it back to his home, but decides to go to train with Piccolo.

ON one day there is a full moon and Gohan turns into an OZauru. Piccolo is totally surprised that the moon is back, and he blows it up. Another day a projection of the moon from Goku's space craft shows up and he has to destroy that. From the Gohan Ozauru, Piccolo learns how to attack from hos mouth and just how deadly those Ozauros are. After that Piccolo and Gohan begin to train extensively.

The Earth's Special Fighters:

Meanwhile, Krillin gets Yamcha and they go to Kami's tower where they meet Tenshinhan, Chaozu, and Yajirobe. For a few months they just train by themselves, and they become fustrated. They demand that Kami trains them . Mr PoPo then takes them to the room of time. In that room Popo lets Tenshinhan, Krillin, Yamcha, and Chaozu fight some of the Saiyans of the past. They are doing this by the unconscious mind. The Saiyans easily beat the Earth's forces, and the forces cannot even injure the Saiyans. Kami and PoPo then tell the forces that those two Saiyans are only half as strong as the ones coming to Earth. Eventually, the training is over and they all leave to train further in Earth.

Goku's Training :

Meanwhile, as Piccolo and Gohan and the Earth's special forces are training, so is Goku. After Goku died, Kami decided to send Goku to see Kaioh. Goku has to travel over snake way, which is over 10000 miles. Goku makes his way slowly, but he unfortunately falls off once and has to make his way again. He steals one of King Yamma's fruit and he gets a tad bit stronger.  Goku defeats Princess Snake and manages to make to Kaioh's planet.

In Kaioh's planet Goku under goes some stuipid but effective training. He catches Bubbles and knocks Gregory on the head,  He also manages to master the Spirit Bomb and the Kaioken technique. Goku learns how to train under intense gravity and Planet Vegeta's history. He learns about how ruthless the Saiyans are from Kaioh, then when his training is over he leaves for Earth.

The Saiyans Arrival:

There are two Saiyans. Vegeta is small but very strong since he is the Prince of all Saiyans. Nappa is huge but not as strong as Vegeta.  They decide to go to Earth and wish for imortality. On the way they land on a Planet ruled by insects. The two Saiyans prove to be ruthless, and make quick work of the insect people. They kill the ruler tyrant and are deemed heroes by the slave race there, but Vegeta decides to blow up the planet anyways.

In a few more months Vegeta and Nappa arrive on Earth. They blow up one city and look around. everyone is scared and only Yajirobe knows what is going on. The media swamps him with questions and he lies. Vegeta and Nappa then use their scounters and find Piccolo and Gohan. They proceed to their location and find them. All of Earth's Warrior are startled by the massive forces they feel. They all manage to get to the battle, except Yajirobe who is eating. Krillin, then Tenshinhan anhd Chaozu, and finally Yamcha arrive. The two Saiyans realize that these earthlings can concentrate energy, so they do not rely on their scouter readings.

The two Saiyans know that they are totally superior strengthwise to the Earth's special forces, so they decide to have some entertainment. Nappa plants 6 green seeds in the ground and puts some slime ontop. In a few moments 6 green little men show up, Saibamen. These 6 green goons were made before Yamah, Tenshinhan, and Chaozu made it. Krillin and Piccolo each faught two and they were in good shape, but Gohan just got kicked around. Tenshinhan kills one in a one on one duel, then Yamcha defeats another Saibament. But before the green guy is dead, the Saibamen does a kamikaze attack on Yamcha and they both die. Krillin is totally furious, and he creates a huge and powerful burst which breaks up into many small strong blasts. These blasts kill all but one Saibamen, which is killed  by Piccolo in a matter of moments. The two Saiyans are totally unaffected by the blast, and everyone is in total disbelief.

Nappa's onslaught:

With the green squad dead, Nappa decides to have some fun and go beat on Earth's Special forces. Nappa charges at Tenshinhan, and  Piccolo unleashes a Makensappo attack when Nappa charges, but Nappa dodges it and knocks Piccolo in the ribs. Nappa charges up and Tenshinhan defends himself at full force frm\om Nappa, but Nappa just breaks off his arm without much of a problem.  Chaozu gets on Nappa's back does a Kamikaze attack, but Napps remains untouched. Tenshinhan is in a fit of rage and goes all out on Nappa, but Nappa just beats Tenshinhan down to the floor. PIccolo and Krillin attack Nappa when he is about to finish off Tenshinhan, and it is working. Both Krillin and Piccolo get a blow in, but Gohan is too scared to attack Nappa and Nappa recovers. Piccolo and Krillin then split in three's, but Nappa is able to beat them all down. IT looks pretty low, but Tenshinhan uses a special attack that drains all of his energy. The attack only burns Nappa's eyebrows. At this time Piccolo and Krillin wish that Goku was there, and that interests Vegeta. Vegeta assumes that Goku is Kakarot, and he decides to suspend the battle for 3 hours.Vegeta also figures out that the Namek's made the Dragon Balls.

Nappa is bored and goes and destroys a lot of military planes and ships. Yajirobe is shooting his mouth off at a restaurant and then decides to go and see the battle. The remaining three warriors are angry that Goku is late, and that Gohan chicked out. Right when the three hours are up, Goku makes it off snake way and to Karin's tower. He grabs 2 senzu beans and calls the nimbus. He then makes his way to the battle. Meanwhile Nappa is attacking everyone all out. Krillin manages to knock Nappa in the face, and almost is able to get Nappa to catch his destructo disk, but Nappa slams him with a huge blast and Krillin is down for the count. Gohan is angry and he manages to knock Nappa in the face, Nappa becomes furious and sends a huge blast at him which Piccolo takes. Piccolo dies, and so does Kami.  The angry Gohan then hits Nappa with a 4000 Kamehameha blast, which numbs Napps's arm. Gohan failed to hurt Nappa, so Nappa is about to kill Gohan and then..... Goku arrives.

Goku is here :

Nappa was attacking the last three fighters because the three hours were up and Goku's Power Level was at 8000!!! This scared both Vegeta and Nappa. When Goku arrived he made quick work of Nappa. Nappa went all out, but he was unable to land a single blow to Goku, even when he was right in his face.
Vegeta orders Nappa to stop because Nappa is failing to do anything, and he nnounces that he is going to fight Goku. Nappa stops and then decides to attack Krillin and Gohan to pass the time. Nappa is going full speed and Goku is trying to stop Nappa from attacking his friends. Goku is not going to make it, but what is this!!?? He uses a Kaiohken attack 1 and is able to injure so mauch that he cannot move anymore. The injured Nappa tells Vegeta to take Goku out for him and to help him up, but Vegeta swings Nappa up into the air and kills him with a powerful attack. Goku then tells his friends to leave and goes somewhere else to fight Vegeta.

Vegeta is totally confident that he can win, so he asks Goku to join him, but Goku turns down the offer. The two then begin to spar. At first it seems dead even, Vegeta is even surprised that Goku can block some of his attacks, but then Vegeta attacks a more furious rate. Vegeta's attack sends Goku off guard and flying into the ground, but then Goku counters with his Kaiohken technique and seems to be kicking Vegeta's butt until Vegeta out of no where is able to slam Goku in the face with his foot. Vegeta then tells Goku that he has seen similar techniques and he can handle them. Goku seems to be in trouble.

Vegeta begins a more furious onslaught, and is able to back up his word. He is easily able to out manuver and out power Goku at Kaiohken 2. Vegeta is slowly beating Goku up with his onslaught, but then Goku decides to do a Kaiohken 3. This Kaiohken is dangerous because his body is not used to it. GOku has trouble doing the Kaoiken 3, but he manages to keep his body together and then proceeds to beat up Vegeta. Vegeta is totally furious that Goku was able to out manuver and over power him, he does not understand how a 3rd class warrior can beat the Prince of all Saiyans. The Prince is Prince because he is strong. Vegeta becomes a tad bit crazy and decides to blow up Earth with his Gattlin Gun. Goku couinter with another Kaiohken 3 and a Kamehameha. The two sends out thier energy blasts, and the balance in power is dead even, until Goku does a Kaiohken 4, which sends Vegeta flying.

Yajirobe has been watching the whole thing, and he runs out to congratulate Goku. he slaps him on the shoulder and Goku screams out in agony. THe Kaiohken 4 shredded his body and Goku is having trouble just standing up. Meanwhile, Vegeta comes back down and is totally mad. Yajirobe runs away like the coward he is and Vegeta sends up an artificial moon energy ball, which makes him a Ozauru.

The Battle heats up :

Goku is totally out matched now because Vegeta's power level is 180,000. Goku is being knocked around , and decides to do a solar flare to stall for some time. He then makes some distance and creates a Spirit Bomb. On the way Krillin and Gohan decide to come back and help Goku. Vegeta is able to recover and attacks GOku before Goku can unleash his spirit bomb. Gohan and Krillin have arrived, while Vegeta is squeezing the life out of Goku. Krillin tries to cut off Vegeta's tail with a destruco disk, but he fails. But what is this!!??? Yajirobe is able to make a clean sweep and cut off Vegeta's tail. Vegeta becomes a normal Saiyan and attacks Krillin and Gohan. Krillin is send flying and Gohan goes one on one with Vegeta. Gohan is sending Kamehamehas at Vegeta, while Krillin gets up and recieves some of the Spirit Bomb from Goku.

Vegeta manages to beat up Gohan, when Krillin sends the Spirit bomb towards Vegeta. Vegeta manages to dodge the bomb, but Gohan bounces the energy off himsefl and the bomb hitd Vegeta. Vegeta is screaming in agony, and our heroes are celebrating. (we learn that Goku and GOhan share a psychic telepathic link). Vegeta lands on the floor and seems out for the count, but he wakes up when Krillin makes fun of Vegeta's face. Vegeta gets up and sends a huge energy blast around him. He beats up Krillin and then finds out that Gohan's tail has grown back and that he is becoming an Ozauru. Vegeta tries frantically to rip Goha's tail off, but Yajirobe attacks Vegeta and almost pierces his armor. Yajirobe thinks he has won, but Vegeta gets up and beats up Yajirobe. Vegeta then remembers about  Gohan, but it is too late. Gohan is an Ozauru.

Vegeta loses :

Gohan in Ozaru form is out of control. he hits Vegeta down but then proceeds to destroy everyhting around him. Goku intervenes and uses his telepathic power to tell Gohan what to do. Gohan then attacks the posed Vegeta. Vegeta tries to cut off the tail and manages too do that, but Gohan falls ontop fo Vegeta. Vegeta is smashed and begins to crawl to his ship. Krillin gets Yajirobe's sword and tries to get to Vegeta.

Vegeta is crawling to his ship, remindhing himself who he is and how strong he is. Krillin manages to get to him and puts the sword to his neck, but Goku tells him to stop. Krillin lets Vegeta go, and Vegeta says he will be back. Vegeta then leaves and everyone in Master Roshi's hut  comes to see the victors.
