l. e. g. (still working on the music - a.b.)

Afternoon sun has settled slowly
Beyond the far horizon's shore
As it had always done on this
Deserted world
Once more it has observed in me
My isolation from the fore-
-front where my life will have to be
Accounted for
Because of your love I can't follow
Your love that I shall never have
Your smile that I'll forever keep
With me and love

And hold above the cloudy heavens
Or when a madness takes my mind
Allow my soul to take what happens
On my love's word when I retire

I did enjoy those precious moments
When we exchanged those trivial thoughts
That we have ever kept within
Our restless minds
I called you love, I called you "soulmate"
Whatever else my fancy caught
Until the day you had to leave
Those words behind
So now alone I weep my sorrow
My tears are flowing to run dry
I can't forget you for I would
Not want to try

That although you have condemned me merely
To take me back from where I fell
I shall forever hold you dearly
I shall forever love you well

A flower fades, it withers slowly
Its scent shall gently pass me by
Into a world where love's frankincense
Ever burns
This is my love I hold so purely
My love that shall forever fly
Within my heart will this emotion
Always return
I've taken it through craggy shorelines
Across the ocean's vast expanse
Washing my heart the way I washed
My bleeding hands

That over hills and over mountains
Into the jungles shall I dare
Into a destiny uncertain
Hoping that I will find you there
And although you have condemned me merely
To take me back from where I fell
I shall forever hold you dearly
I shall forever love you well
