The second series of Furskins (Jedgar the Sheriff, Orville T. the aviator, Selma Jean the Possum Queen, and Fannie Fay the school Marm) came out in 1986 exactly like the first set. Starting in 1986, Coleco was licensed for production of the Furskins. They were reduced to 15" and packaged in boxes. Bubba, Cecelia, Hank Spitball, Scout (aka J. Livingston Clayton), Junie Mae, Lila Claire, Persimmon and Thistle.
Also in 1986, Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers fast food restaurant chain introduced 6"-7" Farrell, Hattie, Boone & Dudley Furskins. If you find one with a hat, keep it! Most have lost theirs along the way.
FOR MORE INFO: Furskin Bears Website has a MUCH BETTER, MORE COMPLETE history and information.
This is Boone...but he is missing his beekeeper hat! I picked him up in a thrift store and they were the ones that lost his hat, but everything else is there, including his socks!!
With him is his counterpart from Wendy's. This guy also lost his hat!
This is Lila Claire or Lilac...but she is missing her clothes and only has her slip, undies and hair ribbons! I picked her up in a thrift store so am lucky I got what I did on her! Hopefully, I can get her clothes soon.
