Well who am I and what the heck do I think I know?!? Where do I start?? Uh, how about the beginning?? Okay, well, this is me... Yeah, this picture is from 2000 - but DANG IT I look great!! I am a 22 year old female living near Omaha, Nebraska, USA. I was born in early 1981 and am very much a product of my times! This site is dedicated to that. I think of the 1980s in completely different terms than many people. I remember it through the eyes of a child and definitely have rose-colored glasses to go with it! And as such I guess, I am being nostalgic about my childhood...hence the reason for this site! Part of my interest lies in all the new items being made. Part of my interest lies in the unusual things that were made in the 80s. You do not see this stuff anymore. Not like it was. And I think this reason drives me more than anything. Besides, just trying to convert kids to the 80s toys! I already have encountered 2 children that ADORE my Cabbage Patch Kids - I gave them each their own... And part of my interest in the 80s toys, lies in the fact that I became a first time Aunt in October, 2002. Whether it is because I love my nephew to death or because I am jealous and want my own (NOT!) I am not totally sure...:) Jury is still out. But it has to be a factor somehow. I admit I am a product of an age when children had more toys than they knew what to do with! But it isn't all that bad!! *lol* Look how some of us have turned out! :) Just had to throw in pics of me opening my first Cabbage Patch Kid at 3 years old on Christmas Day!
