Zain was born in Singapore in the historical year of Nineteen Hundred & Sixty-Eight. The Chinese Almanac which is about four thousand years ago have calibrated that year to be the Year of the Monkey.

He is currently, living with his parents and two younger siblings in Tampines, a small urban city in the east side of Singapore, a matured estate. In the Eastern culture, when you want to show filial piety, you should take care of your parents and by all means do your best to keep the family together even if you live separately. Independence does not mean free from responsibilities towards your parents and siblings, especially so if you are the eldest. Zain is such a person and he finds that in the small country like Singapore,  practicality is living together. (Most western people practice independence exclusively and find living with parents as safe. And the person is afraid to be on their own. This is the reason for writing this small paragraph)  

Zain is working in the Retail sector as a Salesperson and loves interacting with people during his tour of duty.  That is the reason for being in Tangs, a departmental store which originated in Singapore since 1932, for over ten years.  He has  had short stints with Times The Bookshop, Teleshop (now Singtel) and a hotel before landing in Tangs. He also have done a job with a cleaning company, self-employed and a factory, although not in that order.

During his free time, Zain enjoys a good book over tea, listening to a variety of music, watching a couple of emotionally challenged movies, having a chat with good company over lunch, or having a quiet walk at the beach.  He also watches the tube for comedy shows, theatre and the arts, or just people walking by with  different expressions and body language.

Hypocrites, liars and back stabbers are some characters that Zain abhors, especially so when his trusts is breached.

The computer, to Zain is a fascinating thing, but more so the character of the human being and the stars and mother nature.  The paranormal and artistic expressions of any form is also a tool used for mind boggling interesting discussions without end, and they are some subjects that he sometimes deliberates.
