December 3 I have yet to hear a Freedy Johnston song I don't like, and this, the quintessential Freedy song, is no exception. They aren't always this upbeat, and one gets the impression women are mean to Freedy rather a lot. His beautiful melencholy voice and catchy hooks like this one make me sorry I didn't find out about him sooner. And, speaking of which (because I know he'll point it out if I don't) eternal gratitude to Bill for introducing me to this artist. |
Bad Reputation, by Freedy Johnston |
If you like this song, you should check out his albums. Very important music critic Robert Christgau described "Can You Fly" as a perfect album and personally I think "This Perfect World" is even better. "Blue Days Black Nights" is also very good. |
