Background of this Design
Christine de Pisan was a feminist and scholar who lived from 1365 - 1429. She wrote that too much hunting or playing could make a woman idle and she strongly advised women to attend to their households. Neverthless, women often engaged in hunting, falconing and other activities along side their husbands. Here are four women playing together to pass the time.
