2002 End of Year
Training Session

Level 1, Randwick Literary Institute
Corner Market and Clovelley Street (Sydway Map 77 H14).

Was held Wednesday, 11th December, at 6.00pm we had our final training session for the year. After a short and fun filled training session we presented awards to several outstanding student of the year. Other awards were given, these were presented by our two special guests,

Both of our guests have trained for a number of years under Sensei Paul and reached brown belt and purple respectively. Both have also competed in numerous tournaments, winning many titles.

There were also a couple of demonstrations performed by the students and instructors from Randwick as well as visitors from Caringbah & Baulkham Hills dojo's so we all had a great time during a very entertaining program

Segments of the night will be shown on Channel 10's Cheese TV... we now look forward to a further 12 months training before the above fun is repeated for the 2003 presentations.

Jade & Joven Jade & Joven Jade & Joven

South Sydney First Grade player Joven Clarke and Channel 10 host of Cheese TV Jade Gatt finally paired off at the Randwick Zanshin Shotokan karate club's end of year presentations on Dec 11. Both Celebrities have trained under Paul Fenech, a karate Instructor in Randwick and Fairfield, and both had achieved a very high level, winning numerous competitions between them. Joven and Jade made their Karate debut's when they were around the age of 9. Joven trained at the Fairfield club for around 6 years, and quickly established himself as one of the most exciting fighters at NSW tournaments, winning many including the Australian open. As with Jade, he too started at an early age, Training at the Randwick club, competing and earning a name for himself, with many junior titles . Joven and Jade geared up and participated in the training session prior to presenting the Karate Student of the year. Jade and Joven have indicated their desire to return to karate to complete their higher Black belt training.
