Glenys McQueen is a graduate of McGill University, the Jacques Lecoq School of Physical Theatre in Paris, France, and she has a MEd. She spent a year in New Zealand as a founding member of the group, Theatre Action, before moving to Mexico City. There, for 11 years, she taught, acted and directed in professional theatre, founded UNAM's University Theatre Centre movement program, and taught for CONASUPO's Brigadas de Teatro Campesino.

In Canada, she taught at the University of Alberta before moving to Brock University, where she teaches acting and directing. Glenys' research interests include experimental theatre practice; using music and movement as educational tools for cross-curricular integration; and developing open and creative teaching practices (Lecoq-based pedagogy for teacher-training).
