Sunday

Depart USA Overnight transatlantic flight to London.

Monday

Arrive London (2) Time to relax after checking into your hotel.

Day 3 – May 29

Tuesday

London at leisure The day is at leisure to explore Britain's capital. CB

Attractions: Original Tour: Hop-on, Hop-off; Picadilly Circus, Parliament and Big Ben, views of Westminster Abbey, St. Paul Cathedral and Trafalgar Square, Kensington Palace, Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, London Dungeon, Catamaran Thames River Cruise, Planet Hollywood, Harrod’s

Day 4 – May 30

Wednesday

London - Paris (2) A warm welcome from our Tour Director before a drive to Dover and our short Channel crossing to Calais in France. On to Paris for two nights. CB..

Evening: River Seine Cruise, Sacre Coure, MonteMartre, Eiffel Tower, illuminations

Day 5 – May 31

Thursday

Paris sightseeing Morning sightseeing includes views of the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysées, Opéra, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Louvre. CB.

Attractions: Notre Dame, Versailles, Opera, Hard Rock Café, Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Place de Concorde, Champs Elysee, Sacre Coure, Moulin Rouge

Day 6 – June 1

Friday

Paris - Geneva (2) Today we head into the agricultural heart of France, through the wine-producing region of Burgundy. We stop in the medieval town of Beaune before entering Switzerland and Geneva for two nights. CB D Attractions: Beaune, France (stopped over for lunch and snacks)
Day 7 – June 2

Saturday

Geneva sightseeing An orientation this morning includes the Reformation Monument and United Nations' building. Then, free time to shop or perhaps take a trip to charming lakeside Yvoire. CB D

Attractions: Red Cross Bldg, united Nations, Reformation monument, jet’au, Lake Geneva, Lunch at Mt. Saleve, afternoon sight seeing at Yvoire, France (medieval village)

Day 8 – June 3

Sunday

Geneva - Nice (2) We head back into France past the resort of Grenoble. Then a fabulous scenic drive follows the Route Napoleon south. We'll stop at the fortified town of Sisteron before arriving in Nice. CB D

Attractions: Grenoble, Sisteron, Evening: Monaco, Monte Carlo

Day 9 – June 4

Monday

Nice - Monte Carlo Excursion A free day to enjoy the Côte d'Azur. Later, we sample the high life on a visit to Monte Carlo and see the famous casinos. CB

Morning: stroll by beach Cote d’Azur (Blue Coast – French Riviera), Afternoon: St. Paul de Vence, 3 Corniches Evening: Dinner by Ville de France, strolled by the pedestrian market

Day 10 – June 5

Tuesday

Nice - Florence We cross the border into Italy, and travel past Genoa, Columbus' birthplace, en route to Pisa to view the Leaning Tower. Next on to Florence. Here we gain a scenic view over the city from Piazzale Michelangelo. There's time to shop! CB

Attractions: Genoa, Pisa (Leaning Tower, Cathedral) Evening: Florence Artistic Highlights: David, Duomo, Santa Croce, Signoria Square, Baptistry

Day 11 – June 6

Wednesday

Florence - Venice (2) Today, we head for Shakespeare's Verona to see Juliet's balcony and the Roman Arena. Then a short drive brings us to magical Venice. CB D

Morning: shopping for leather and gold by Santa Croce square Afternoon: Verona – Juliet’s Balcony

Day 12 – June 7

Thursday

Venice at leisure We savour the amazing atmosphere on a canal cruise by vaporetto to St. Mark's Square viewing the Bridge of Sighs. Next watch craftsmen at work on a visit to a glass-blowing factory, before free time. Maybe discover the island of Burano, and enjoy a fresh fish lunch. CB D

Morning: Rialto Bridge, Doge’s Palace, St. Mark’s cathedral and Square Lunch: Burano – fishing village, afternoon: shopping in Venice Evening: Gondola Serenade

Day 13 – June 8

Friday

Venice - Rome (2) Via Bologna, then over the Apennine Mountains and through Umbrian scenery, we pass Orvieto to Rome. Rome is a city with a unique blend of history, architecture and world famous monuments. Tonight, why not dine out in a local trattoria? CB

Evening: Introduction to Rome by night: Spanish Steps, Via Condotti, Pantheon, Piazza Navona

Day 14 – June 9

Saturday

Rome sightseeing Morning sightseeing shows us the Forum, Colosseum and St. Peter's Basilica. Afterwards, there's time at leisure to sightsee further, window-shop along the Via Condotti or just relax in a pavement café. CB

Attractions: Sistine Chapel, Vatican Museum, St. Peter Basilica, Roman Forum, Colosseum, Catacombs Evening: Dinner at local tratoria, and then head to Trevi de Fontana

Day 15 – June 10 Rome - USA 'Buon viaggio' on your return flight to the USA. CB - Continental Airlines: Rome (9:45 am) to Newark (1:05 pm) – 8 ½ hours flight ; Newark (4:00 pm) to LAX (7:05 pm) (5 ½ hours flight)
