CHAPTER FIVE
After what seemed to Kevin as an interrogation, they arrived at the parking lot of
the Penthouse. He was glad the trip was over and quickly escorted everyone upstairs to
his penthouse. When he entered, he noticed Miyuki standing by the window looking out
of it as he showed all the girls the living room and the kitchen where they could grab a
snack before they started. Once everyone was sitting down, and he relayed the message
to Security of their last guest, he went over to talk to Miyuki.
“Hey Stripe, where’s Scott. I know he is here, I can feel him.” Kevin asked
Miyuki.
“He’s in his room talking to the Misaki’s about what has happened to Sasami.”
Miyuki replied.
“Oh, ouch, I don’t envy him right now.” Kevin said wincing on the inside when
he thought of the ‘talk’ Scott is having with the Misaki’s right now.
“Yeah, me either.” Miyuki said and then went back to looking out the window
again. It was then that Kevin noticed the look that was on Miyuki’s face.
“What’s up with the look?” Kevin asked.
“I’m restless.” Miyuki replied. “Standing here doing nothing when I want to be
out rescuing Sasami.” Miyuki looks over at all the girls and notices how uneasy some of
them are. “I get the feeling that our guests over there are feeling the same way as me.”
“Yeah.” Kevin said as he looked over at the guests and saw the same thing
Miyuki did. So he made his way over to the group of girls and got their attention. “We
will begin shortly once Scott gets here.”
“Where is he?” Haruka asked, with a little too much anger in her tone than what
she wanted.
“In the back room calling Sasami’s family to inform them of what has happened
to her.” Kevin replied.
“Oh.” Haruka said as the anger she had built up over Scott died down a little.
While they were waiting for Scott to join them, Mamoru, with the two cats,
showed up and everyone filled him in to get him caught up to date on what was
happening. Once he was caught up, even though he had trouble believing most of it, he
was going to comment, but it was at that time that Scott showed up. Once he saw that
everyone was there, with a new face, it was then a feeling was coming over him. He
looked around and found that the feeling was centered on the tall brunette. It was then
that he recognized what the feeling meant, but since he had a more pressing matter to
deal with, he decided to keep an eye on her in the back of his mind.
“How did it go?” Kevin asked.
“How do you think they took it?” Scott replied.
“Not good, huh?” Kevin said.
“They want us ‘ALL’ to go there before we plan on a rescue.” Scott said.
“’ALL’ of us?” Usagi asked concerned. “But why and where?”
“They want all of you also since, according to the note, Hotaru and Chibi-Usa
were the intended targets and Sasami was just a bystander that was in the wrong place at
the wrong time. They want to know what we are going to do.” Scott replied for Usagi.
“Where we are going is the Misaki Shrine.”
“That’s around a four hour drive from here.” Rei replied.
“Our trip has been taken care of by Washu.” Scott replied.
“Who’s Washu?” Minako asked.
“A person that we will meet when we get there.” Scott replied.
“How?” Michiru asked.
“I will show you.” Scott said and then faced Kevin. “Hey Ziggy, where is
Washu’s door?”
“Next to the training room this time, I think.” Kevin replied, thinking of where
the door is.
“You better be the last one through, to make sure everyone came through.” Scott
said.
“Okay.” Kevin said.
So everyone started to follow Scott, a little unsure of what to expect. They
watched as Scott approached a door that looked to be for a closet. He opened the door
and the Senshi only saw blackness in the doorway. Then most of them gasped in shock
as he stepped into the blackness and disappeared. Miyuki then smiled at them and
walked through the door and disappeared herself.
“Ladies and Gentleman.” Kevin said smiling as he stood next to the door and got
everyone’s attention. “If you want the show to continue, you must go through the
doorway.”
So all the Senshi walked cautionly through the door and found themselves in a
room bigger than the eye can see, but mostly that was due to the blackness in the room
they saw. Looking around, they noticed they had some light to see, but they couldn’t find
the source of it. Then when Kevin came through the door and closed it, most of the girls
gasped in surprise again when the door disappeared. Suddenly another door appeared in
front of them and Scott opened the door.
He then walked through that door and disappeared again. Miyuki followed him
and disappeared also and the Senshi glanced over at Kevin. Kevin smiled and waited for
them to walk through the door. After a few minutes, the Senshi started to go through the
door. After they came through door, they were surprised at what they saw. When they
had came through the door, they had entered into a hallway next to a large living room.
When everyone was through the door, Kevin closed the door, after he was
through, and the Senshi realized that the door lead to a closet. The Senshi looked around
and found Scott and Miyuki standing in the living room, talking to a man in his early
twenties, and Miyuki was holding a girl that appeared to be around nine. What surprised
the group was that the child looked some what feline and had a coat of light brown fur all
over. It was then that Scott stopped talking to the man and faced the group.
“Okay, if everyone would sit down, we will get started with introductions when
everyone else is here.” Scott said and showed everyone where they could sit.
So the Senshi started to sit down in the couches and chairs that Scott pointed to,
with Usagi holding Luna in her lap and Minako doing the same with Artemis. Since the
Senshi didn’t need to move around to have Ami sit next to Scott, since she sat next to him
on her own, but they made sure that Kevin and Makoto were sitting next to each other,
much to their embarrassment. Miyuki sat on the other side of Scott with the child on her
lap, talking to each other. They then noticed that the man that Scott was talking too had
left the room, apparently to get the other people they were going to meet.
In a few minutes, they noticed that Scott and Kevin glance down the hallway and
in a few moments, seven people entered the room. Then they all sat down in the empty
seats and looked over at the Senshi. When Scott saw that everyone was there and seated,
he started the introductions.
“Now that everyone is here, I’ll start the introductions.” Scott said and waved his
hand over to the new people that had entered the room. “The owner of this house, and
our host, is Tenchi Masaki. The two women next to him are his fiancées, Ryoko Haibuki,
and Ayeka Misaki.” Scott saw that some of the Senshi were about to comment so he
decided to stop them before they started asking to many questions at the moment. “We
will explain everything that seems strange later.” He noticed the Senshi calm down for
now.
“The man to their right is the Priest of the nearby Shrine, Katsuhito Masaki. The
woman sitting next to his is <>. The girl in Miyuki’s lap is Ryo-ohki, and as
I said we will explain the strangeness of her later. Finally the last couple is a friend of
mine, Jim Dillenger, and his fiancée, Washu Haibuki.” Scott said finishing the
introductions of their hosts.
“But she looks twelve.” One of the Senshi blurted out.
“She does?” Scott said acting surprised and all the Senshi was looking at him
surprised at how blind he was.
“Are you blind, she looks no older than twelve … and … what the Hell!” Haruka
was trying to point out but when she looked over at Washu, she was expecting to see a
young girl, but sitting next to Jim was a mature woman.
