Chapter Seven
*******
“Ranma prepare to die!”
Ranma was taking an early morning walk. He was deep in
thought, thinking about what he witnessed Hotaru do yesterday.
He was very surprised that she was able to pull off a Chi blast
so early in her training. He was very concerned when she
collapsed after doing the blast. He knew he shouldn’t have
started training her in a so draining techniques when she was so
weak to handle it.
After she collapsed, he was about to vow to stop teaching
her, when he saw the look in her eyes when she realized that she
accomplished doing the blast. Ranma’s resolve melted away when
he saw that look she was giving him. He smiled at her and
congratulated her on doing a great job. On the way home, he
could see that Hotaru was definitely a part of his family, and
he could see a little bit of Ryoga’s family in her also.
Speaking of Ryoga, he started wondering where he
disappeared to. The last he saw of him was when his father
left with him to have a ‘father/son’ talk, the day they found
out about Hotaru. It was about that time he heard Ryoga’s
shout. He looked in the direction the shout came from and saw
Ryoga charging at him. Ranma dodged the first couple strikes
before he leaped a distance away before facing Ryoga, smiling.
“Hiya, P-Chan, I was wondering where you were.” Ranma said.
“Shut up Ranma!” Ryoga shouted angrily.
“So what’s got you riled up this time?” Ranma asked.
“I heard you used Ukyo to threaten Akane.” Ryoga said.
“I didn’t have Ukyo threaten Akane; I just had her tell
Akane to keep quiet about Hotaru.” Ranma replied when he figured
out what Ryoga was talking about.
“You lie!” Ryoga shouted even angrier. “I over heard
her myself.”
“It wasn’t anything like that.” Ranma replied.
“Shut up, I’m going to punish you myself.” Ryoga yelled.
“Bring it on, Bacon Breath.” Ranma said, getting into a
defensive stance.
Ryoga then charged Ranma, and they started fighting.
* * * * *
At about the same time, all of the Senshi, with Mamoru,
decided to go to the Children’s Day Festival, to get their minds
off of their situation. What surprised all of them was when
Setsuna joined them. When they asked why she was with them,
she replied that she was being banned from seeing the future
and decided to join them for something to do. So they entered
the park where the festival was being held, and they split
into groups to where they wanted to go. After the first hour,
they all met back at a set of picnic tables to regroup. As
they were sitting down, several of the Senshi noticed Hotaru
seemed to be more energetic.
“Hotaru seems to have more energy lately.” Makoto
voiced first.
“Yes. Her treatments that Ranma has found are going
better than expected.” Michiru said.
“What treatments?” Ami asked interested.
“Something about strengthening her Chi, or was that Ki?”
Haruka replied.
“And that’s it?” Rei asked surprised.
“Don’t know, but whatever it is, it seems to be working
as you all can see.” Michiru replied. Everyone glanced over
and saw Hotaru chasing Chibi-Usa around and didn’t seem to be
getting tired. “Also, Ranma has been training Hotaru some
martial arts.”
“He has!” Everyone but Michiru, Haruka, and Setsuna
exclaimed in surprise.
“Well, he calls it strengthening and endurance training.”
Haruka said.
“I think he’s also been training Chibi-Usa also.” Usagi
said out of the blue.
“Why do you say that?” Makoto asked.
“Well, she’s been with Hotaru a lot lately, and when she
comes home, she’s usually sore and tired.” Usagi replied.
“It could be.” Haruka said.
They all sat and watched Hotaru and Chibi-Usa run around,
chasing each other. Some of them were thinking about how to get
Ranma to train them. They were enjoying the peaceful fun of the
festival, but that was short lived. Just then an explosion was
heard and seen nearby, causing panic to break out with everyone
there. A moment later, it was reveled that it was the aliens
attacking again. So all of the Senshi that could transform did,
while the ones that couldn’t went and helped the people to escape,
even though they wished that they could help.
While Minako, Makoto, and Rei helped evacuated as many
people as they could, the others went to stop the aliens. As
they started in with their speeches, the aliens started attacking
them. The Senshi dodged out of the way of the blasts and split
into two groups when they avoided the blasts. Uranus, Neptune,
and Pluto were in one group while Moon, Chibi-moon, Saturn,
Mercury, and Tuxedo Kamen were in the other group. They tried
to attack the aliens from two sides, but it seemed that they
were ready for them.
As Sailor Moon’s group tried to draw the attention of the
aliens, while the other group would attack from behind. It was
a good plan, but the Senshi failed to notice the small group of
aliens that were behind the Outer’s. Just as the Outer’s
started attacking the group, they were hit in the back by the
small group of aliens. As they landed, they knew that they
lost the fight. Sailor Moon’s group realized that their plan
failed as the Outer’s fell, that they ran to regroup for a
better situation.
The Aliens gave chase as Minako, Makoto, and Rei went
and checked on the Outer’s. They found that they were all
right, just a little dazed. They hoped that Sailor Moon’s
group could handle the aliens, as they were unable to help.
They followed at a distance, hoping they would be all right
and win, also to see what was going to happen.
* * * * *
The fight between Ranma and Ryoga was still going on
and they were getting more aggressive as they fought. As
they kept fighting, Ryoga’s rage peaked.
“Take this Ranma, Shi Shi Hokoden!” Ryoga yelled as
he fired off a green blast at Ranma.
* * * * *
The aliens had cornered the remaining of the Senshi at
a nearby wall. Mercury and Tuxedo Kamen were standing in
front of the other three to block them as a shield. The
aliens blasted Mercury and Tuxedo Kamen and they fell next to
Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon noticed that both of them were in
their civilian attire and were unconscious. She looked up
and noticed that the aliens were going to blast her and the
other two girls and she couldn’t think of anything to prevent
that from happening. So she gathered Saturn and Chibi-Moon
to her and waited for the aliens to finish them off.
Sailor Moon watched as the aliens approach and aimed their
weapons at them. Moon closed her eyes and braced for the blasts
to hit them. After a few seconds, she heard some beeping sound
and opened her eyes. She saw that the aliens were talking to
each other in a language she couldn’t understand, and then one
of them pointed in a direction away from the festival. They
talked some more and then they split into two groups. One of
the groups headed back into the festival and the other group
left the festival grounds.
Sailor Moon watched in confusion as the aliens left her
and Chibi-Moon and Saturn alone unscratched. The others showed
up when the aliens left and checked on Ami and Mamoru. After
they verified that the two were okay, Setsuna told Moon,
Chibi-Moon, and Saturn to follow the aliens that left the
festival while the rest of them tried to delay the other group
from doing whatever they were going to do. Moon was worried
about the others but they said that the three of them were
the only ones that had a chance of stopping the aliens. She
sighed and then she and Chibi-Moon and Saturn followed the
group of aliens that had left.
* * * * *
As the aliens took out Mercury and Tuxedo Kamen, they
had decided to take out the rest of the Senshi once and for
all, so they aimed their guns at the last three members of
the Senshi. They watched as the eldest one held the two
younger ones close to her and they had their eyes closed,
looking like they were waiting for the assault to happen.
Just as they were about to pull the triggers of their weapons,
one of their sensors started going off. One of the aliens
looked at what caused the alarm to go off and he looked
surprised at the readings.
“What is it?” The leader of the attack group asked.
“There seems to be several massive energy discharges
nearby.” The soldier replied.
“What is causing it?” The leader asked.
“Unknown at the moment sir.” The soldier replied.
“Where is it coming from?” The leader asked.
“Several kilometer’s in that direction.” The soldier
replied, pointing in a direction outside of the festival.
“And it seems to be getting closer.”
“Alright. You three finish draining here and start
dismantling the unit, the rest of us will check out these
energy discharges.” The leader said after thinking about
the situation for a moment. So they split into the two
groups and went in their respective directions.
The aliens arrived at the spot and stood in surprised
shock at what they were seeing. They saw two humans fighting
each other, and it looked like the both of them were ignoring
their surrounds. As the aliens watched, they became worried
at the power level of the attacks as both of the humans
started throwing Chi blasts around like it was nothing. The
leader decided that they should drain those two humans to
gain a lot of energy.
So the leader decided to send two drones to capture the
two humans. The enjoyment that the leader was having at
gaining all that energy was short lived as he watched the
two drones get destroyed by the two humans. What made it
even worse was the two humans didn’t even attack the drones,
the two drones were destroyed as collateral damage in the
two’s fight. This angered the leader and ordered them to
use the guns on them.
* * * * *
Sailor Moon, Chibi-Moon, and Saturn followed the aliens
and hid when the aliens stopped. When they had a chance, they
noticed that the aliens were watching two people fighting. It
was then that Saturn realized that the two people fighting were
her uncles. She watched in worry as her two uncles were fighting
each other. She had no idea what they were fight over, but it
looked like Ryoga was angry at Ranma for something and she wished
that they wouldn’t fight each other.
She suddenly became alarmed when she noticed the aliens
sent two drones that liked like walking cars after Ranma and
Ryoga. She was about to send one of her attack at the drones
when suddenly the drones were destroyed by stray blasts from
both Ranma and Ryoga. She silently cheered at her uncles for
what they did and was drawn from watching the fight when she
heard Moon and Chibi-Moon gasp in fright. She wondered what
was going on when she noticed the aliens aiming their weapons
at Ranma and Ryoga. She watched in horror along with Moon
and Chibi-Moon as the weapons fired and struck both Ranma and
Ryoga, and blew them through the nearby wall of a building.
The aliens waited for a few moments and then left the
scene and headed back to the park. When the aliens were out
of sight, Saturn ran to the wall with worry in her heart at
what happened to her uncles. Moon and Chibi-Moon had tried
to stop her from running there but they were unable to stop
her, so they followed her. Saturn was crying, thinking that
the aliens had just killed off her uncles, so Moon and Chibi-
Moon tried to comfort her. They were startled when they
heard movement from inside the building.
They looked in the building and were surprised when
two people came out of the rubble and stepped outside.
Saturn recognized them as Ryoga and Ranma, in his cursed
form, as stepped outside. From Moon’s and Chibi-Moon’s point
of view, it was Ryoga and Ranko that came out of the building,
even though they could have sworn it was Ranma that was
blasted into the building. Both of them were grumbling at
about being blasted into a building when Saturn went running
up to them and gave them a hug before Moon and Chibi-Moon
could stop her.
“Uncle Ranma, uncle Ryoga!” Saturn said as she came up
and gave both of them a hug, catching both of them off guard.
“You’re all right.”
“Hiya short stuff.” Ranma said after she recognized
Hotaru.
“Hello Hotaru.” Ryoga said after he got a good look at
the person hugging him.
“Saturn, what’s going on?” Chibi-Moon asked as she and
Moon came near them.
“Saturn?” Ranma and Ryoga asked questionly.
“That’s my name when I’m dressed like this.” Saturn
replied blushing.
“Why are you telling them this?” Moon asked confused.
“Because they are my uncles.” Saturn told her.
“Um, Saturn, how can she be your uncle?” Chibi-Moon
asked, pointing to Ranma.
“Well, uh …” Saturn stuttered to a stop when she realized
that her friends didn’t know that Ranma and Ranko was the same
person.
“We can discuss that later, Chibi-Usa.” Ranma said which
caused Chibi-Moon to look at Ranma in surprise.
“How?” Chibi-Moon wondered.
“She can see through our disguise field.” Saturn replied
and noticed Ryoga look confused at what was going on. Moon and
Chibi-Moon were about to comment to that when Ranma commented
before them.
“Hey short stuff, why you dressed like that again?” Ranma
asked.
“Oh, we were following a group of aliens that were draining
people when they came out here and found you guys fighting. They
were the ones that blasted you into the building and then headed
back to the park …” Saturn started explaining when she realized
something. “Oh no, the aliens, their heading back to the park
where our friends are and they can’t defend themselves.”
“Who are these aliens?” Ryoga asked.
“We don’t know but they have been attacking people lately,
draining of them of their energy.” Moon replied to the question.
“They have attack our friends and would have attacked us if they
weren’t drawn by your fight.”
“They attacked you Hotaru?” Ryoga and Ranma asked. Saturn
just nodded as an answer. Ranma and Ryoga looked at each other
and nodded to each other in a mutual understanding.
“They can attack us all they want, but they will not get
away with attacking my niece.” Ryoga said and both he and Ranma
ran towards the park.
“Hey, wait for us!” Saturn yelled after her two uncles
and then started chasing after them with Moon and Chibi-Moon
right behind her.
* * * * *
Ranma and Ryoga made their way into the park and found
the aliens soon enough. Getting the aliens attention they had
started to fight them, but before they could get to them, they
had sent several drones to attack them. Actually the aliens
sent the drones at them to delay them enough so they could
finish dismantle their draining device and send it through a
portal. The Senshi that had their powers blocked were watching
the fight in awed amazement. As Ranma and Ryoga were fighting
the drones, Moon, Chibi-Moon, and Saturn had finally made it
back into the park and met up with the others watching the fight.
“What is going on?” Makoto asked in wonder as she watched
the two destroying the drones like it was nothing.
“Well, when we followed the aliens, they had went and
found those two fighting in the street.” Moon replied. “I
could have sworn it was Ranma and Ryoga fighting instead of
him and Ranko.”
“Why are they fighting the drones now?” Rei asked.
“The aliens had tried to capture them with drones until
the both of them had destroyed them in their fight.” Moon
started saying. “When that didn’t work, they blasted them with
the same weapons that they are using on us.”
“They were blasted?” Minako asked in surprise.
“Yeah and then we find out that Ryoga was Hotaru’s uncle.”
Chibi-Moon said.
“What? I thought Ranma was her uncle?” Most of the
others asked.
“They both are.” Haruka replied.
“And when they found out that the aliens had attacked
her, this is what happened.” Moon replied pointing to the
fight. Everyone watched the fight for a few minutes when
Saturn noticed something.
“Look over there.” Saturn said pointing to a scene
behind the fight. Everyone looked over there and saw a group
of aliens carrying machine components through a portal.
“That’s the machine that was gathering all the drained
energy.” Ami replied.
“Those aliens are using this fight to distract everyone
as they take their stolen energy away.” Makoto said.
“We have to stop them.” Minako said.
“But how? If you have forgotten, most of us no longer
have our powers.” Setsuna said calmly, inwardly smiling as
she knew that something was going to happen. Just then Saturn
ran from the group towards the group of aliens.
“Saturn wait!” Everyone shouted to stop her.
Saturn started running toward the aliens with
determination in her eyes. She knew of a way that she could
stop the aliens, she just hoped it would be enough. As Ranma
and Ryoga were destroying the last of the drones, the aliens
were taking the last component of the machine to the portal.
She gathered her determination to stop them and as the last
of the aliens were going through the portal with the component,
she released her chi blast as them.
“Noooo.” Saturn said through gritted teeth as she
released her chi blast, striking the component before it made
it through the portal.
The aliens managed to get through the portal and the
portal closed off just as Ranma and Ryoga got to it. The
other Senshi stared in wonder at what they saw Saturn do
and then cried in alarm as Saturn suddenly collapsed unconscious.
