The Braves struck in the top of the first when Todd Chingway singled in Matt Padron. They added two more in the third, when Scott Hueckman and Brandon Ring had RBI singles, and another in the fourth when Billy Owens drove in Eric Broom with a single.
But the story of the day was Hochmuth's mastery over the Express. He kept the hitter off balance all afternoon allowing only six hit, all singles. "Hopefully we can carry these efforts over into next week", said Todd Chingway, reffering to the weekend's two big wins.
The day concluded with Hochmuth awarding a game ball to Zickert. "A toughness award"! Well deserved.
