One day after a humiliating, 6-1 loss to at the hands of Sullivan, a game which featured names like Animal and Skipper in their starting line-up, the Braves faced a must-win situation.
A team, with playoff hopes hanging on by a string, hardly looked uptight as the Braves put up four quick runs in two innings off of East Troy starter Ryan Piedot. From there on out the Braves defense took over, backing up pitcher Phil Hochmuth like never before, all the way to a 7-4 victory, and upping their record to (7-9).
The Braves offense was ignited by Matt Padron, who went 3-for-4, scored three runs and stole three bases. Nick Heiting, in his new clean-up role, went 3-for-3 and drove in three.
Hochmuth worked and wiggled his way out of countless jams in every conceivable fashion, as the right-hander allowed nine hits and four walks in a complete game victory.
