Well, it was an ominous begining. After walking lead-off hitter Derek Stebbins, Braves starter Scott Hueckman gave up a 2-run bomb to sweet-swingin' Sam Jansen. From there however, it was all down hill for the Rebs...perhaps more fitting would be, down hill for the Braves, as the Braves were swipping bases like they WERE running down hill.

Braves baserunners frustrated Rebel starter Brad Saugestad all day long, to the tune of seven stolen bases, and a 12-3 victory. The highlight of the day perhaps, was when Jereme Harder and Todd Chingway executed a first-n-third, double steal, putting the Braves up 6-3, in the fifth inning. The Bravos never looked back, Saugestad finally came completely unglued in the eighth when he allowed a walk and four singles before giving way to Jansen.

After a scary start, Opie gave his typical Genesee performance. As the right-hander would only allow one more run in a complete game victory. The top of the Brave order (1-2-3) got it done, as they reached base 12 times, via hit or walk. The Braves snap a 3-game losing steak and improve to (6-7), and remain in the playoff mix.
