Farmington scored, which would end up being their only run of the day, off of Dave Weber in the top of the second. Hueckman doubled, advanced to second on a Jereme Harder ground ball, and scored on a James Melchior sacrifice fly.
Then the rains came....
After a 45 minute rain delay. Matt Houk lead off North Prairie's thrid by reaching on Harder's fielding error at third. After Stillman grounded out, Weber reached when first baseman Matt Zickert dropped a throw, scoring Houk. Billy Toshner later drove in Weber with a single. That would be the final run of the game
Farmington had their shots. Billy Owens grounded out to end an inning with the tying run at thrid and the go ahead runner at second. Another rally was killed when Hueckman was doubled off second base when a Melchior line drive landed safely in leftfielder Jon Stillman's glove. But for the most part Weber was in control. The Braves could muster only four hits and one walk off the North Prairie ace.
"I choked my ass off", said an anonymous Brave all-star. "Today's loss is on me".
