Farmington was starting to develop a swagger, thats right. As strange as it may seems, this group of newcomers were staring to gel. "This game was over before we even took the field", hollered shortstop Nick Heiting. "Lay up!".

The Braves wasted no time jumping on Sullivan starter Nick Wirth. Heiting lead-off the game with a bunt single, and promptly stole second and third. Matt Padrom walked, and Billy Owens drove in Heiting with a single. Nate Gray followed with a walk off his own. With the bases loaded and nobody out, Owens forgot who he was playing for momentarily, and was picked off of second base by catcher Andy Kraus. "I love picking Billy off. He never pays attention", proclaimed Kraus. Padron followed with a steal of home, regaining the lost momentum.

The Braves tacked on another two in the bottom of the second. Eric Broom's two-run homer drove in Brandon Ring giving the home boys a 4-0 lead. After a couple goose eggs by Wirth, the top of the line-up struck again. Heiting doubled off the left field fence, his second of his four-hit day. Padron and Owens followed with back-to-back singles.

Staked to a 6-0 lead, Phil Hochmuth cruised all to the way to a complete game victory, allowing only six hits along the way. Hochmuth lost a bid for a shutout, when his brother Nate singled in Brian Karasti in the ninth inning.

This was the fifth victory in Farmington's last six contests, making up for an abismal (0-3) start to the year.
