After two blowouts, the final 2 interdivisional games will have big playoff implications for all both games. Three of the the 4 teams playing missed the postseason in 2002.

Two Key Games Early on- by Ken

May 22, 2003- The BFL is only two games in but after the Gamblers and Icebergs won convincingly, it is important for all teams to try and keep up with the them, to get a top three playoff seed/bye. Interestingly, the Crusaders (0-1) and Sand Storm (0-1) play each other on June 7th. This game will determine the first 0-2 team of the year. However, the Fear, Bulldogs, and Black Knights all have a chance to separate themselves from the bottom and go for a top playoff spot, after missing the playoffs in 2002. No one is eliminated from the playoffs this early on. However, at the end of the interdivisional games, if there are no blowouts or ties, one of the losers of these two games could be 0-1 and would be in the 5th seed, for the playoffs.

Also, looking at the matchup and all time records, the Fear who have 1 win all time take on the Sparrows who have won 13 games all time. The Sparrows have won as many BFL Bowls as the amount of games Fear have played.

The Black Knights bring in 8 all time wins to the Bulldog's 1. The Black Knights have 18 more Throwoff Returns than the Bulldogs who are still seeking number 1.

While History is on the two veterans side, all it takes is 16 minutes of High Powered Football to be a step further to the BFL Playoffs.

In the hot race for BFL commentator of the year, Sean has already scored a whomping 34 points. Next behind him is Jason D. with 15 points. Followed by last year's commentator of the year, Marko, with 14 points. Seems like Sean's Fear Factory Columns, (which I enjoy reading) are helping him pave the path to an early season lead.

Also, it looks like Mr. Kevin Brady will be the quarterback for the Fear vs. Sparrows game. However, should the weather not hold up, this game may have to be played next week.

And Corey will be ready to quarterback his 3rd game as the Bulldogs take on the Black Knights.

Howie GoGo is still sidelined with the injury. While he still has blurry vision, he is aiming to return for the All Star game. His status is still doubtful. However, during the Delay at Throwoff 2003, Howie Gogo was throwing strikes to every one. Even with the bad vision, Howie Gogo may play through with the injury sometime later in the season.

And with attendance of 18 and 16 at the first two games, the BFL is drawing it's greatest amounts off people to the games. The BFL wants to get over 15 again for the next 2 games and for All Star Game IV. Make sure you come out and support your favorite teams!

That's All, see you at the Games!
Ken
