Calvin and Fraser

I scanned the original cartoon in from "Weirdos From Another Planet!" by Bill Watterson, ISBN 0-8362-1862-0. The copyright notice says "no part... [etc etc] except for reviews." So here's a review: "It's a really good book and I think you should buy it." Alternatively, I've put it here so people can re-view it. Or something. Anyway, all I've done is replace Hobbes with Fraser (both pictorially and name-wise in dialogue) and redrawn a few border lines; dialogue and Calvin are original.

When I started looking on Usenet for somewhere to post my fanfic; I discovered alt.tv.due-south.creative with one minor problem -- it was dead. I made the obvious decision to revive it, with the help of my sister and a fellow DS fan. It ran for a few years, though with low volume, but has since (like my interest in the fandom) drifted back into its former obscurity.

While I was involved in the fandom, I maintained the mirror mailing list for alt.tv.due-south.creative and the DuSC archive of all fanfiction posted to the group. I also wrote some more fanfiction and hung around the Ride Forever mailing list, where I collected a "Holy Trinity" of Keeperships:

• the Holy Hairpin (a Fraser/Thatcher moment in ATQH)
• the Holy Handcuffs (Fraser cuffing Kowalski in Asylum, with cuffs from Thatcher's desk)
• the Holy Handcatch (a brief moment in Asylum, where Kowalski catches Thatcher's wrist as she's being held hostage)

	The boys in New Caledonia Credits: the scenery is a back-to-front photo from I took in New Cale; Ray is from Strange Bedfellows rushing to Stella; Fraser is from a publicity shot. I downloaded those two from a site that's now dead. But the fantasy's much more interesting. : - )
The places I get to... Courtesy of my loving sister Sasscat Bu-to-y Sasscat writes: "The real reason Ray and Stella broke up - she was getting jealous of that zebra that kept swanning her husband off to exotic locales... [...] Although the lighting's kinda funky; I'm thinking maybe the two of you took a trip through the Stargate to a world with multiple suns."

Fraser/Kowalski Just randomly looking at photos, I thought, "Hmm, if I took out a bit of space there...." This (after a bit of fiddling) is the result.

My Bookcover I started a fanfic based on the picture to the left, wrote several chapters, created this bookcover for it, and then... well, it's a long story (so to speak) but suffice it to say that the fanfic no longer exists; the bookcover has no book. But it still looks pretty. :-)

Hands Across the Border A Canada/US friendship monument at the train station at Havre, Montana. Just couldn't help thinking about Fraser and Ray here!
