Zechstress's Info
The description actually fits. See which character you are!

    As you know by now, I'm Zechstress. Here I will wax eloquent on personal crap that's of no real interest to anyone but myself and possibly those who know me. Also, there's updates below all the longwindedness! o.O!
    Born in May of '84, I'm a child of the 80's and glad of it. *Ginyu pose* But better still is the fact that I've been reconciled to the Creator of the universe, the erstwhile God of Israel. [You don't honestly believe it all just came about by chance, do you?]
    'Here comes the Judeo-Christian spiel,' I bet you're groaning. Please, humor me. If you have any doubts at all as to the true nature of reality, suspend disbelief just long enough to read what I have to say. And if you don't or can't, go ahead and scroll on down to the updates - I'm not the one you will eventually answer to, and I can't stop you anyway. But please reconsider - in case I'm right. Below is a rundown of the plan for humanity; past, present, and future.

The Plan of Ages

    How to obtain the costly but necessary status of peace with God? And it is costly, in the sense that alliance to Jesus means total renunciation of the old way of thinking and doing things, and embracing Him - and His selflessness, which we are called to emulate - instead. You can, by admitting the fact that you can't measure up to the divine standard (There's no evil in Him; why shouldn't He expect the same of us?), repenting of that (Repentance isn't just feeling sorry that you do bad things, it's a sincere desire to stop doing them) and relying on His Son alone for the forgiveness of your moral and spiritual shortcomings, which deserve only condemnation by a fair, holy God. Even society condemns bad behavior; how much more He who cannot lie?

    I'm no longer condemned, but there's more than that to be thankful for - freedom from: the guilt of sin (the real reason people can't rest easy, despite our claims otherwise), doubt about 'the afterlife', and fear in general, since He is sufficient for anything that could possibly come up - true nirvana, a cessation of the turmoil created by our inclination to rebel against the One who made us. Not to mention the outpouring of His Spirit, which ensures our obedience (if we don't ignore Him) and endues us with miraculous gifts, according to His will and our faith. Did I mention power over the devil, who is the original sinner and the one who tricked us into sinning as well - remember the story of Adam and Eve? It's true, you know...and he has lots of minions, but they are powerless in the face of God's grace upon us. We need only resist them and rely on Jesus for victory, and they have to flee when we persevere in His name.

    In short, salvation truly is the gift of God, and there are few who find it - and keep it. But it's necessary for a full life, one not devoid of hope or meaninglessly wasted. Not to mention that little matter of the coming judgment of the state of our souls based on evidence of our intent as expressed through our thoughts, actions, and whether or not we've rejected God by rejecting His Son, who is that part of Himself He sent to redeem us (The Lord our God is one God - no pantheism for us, no sir, despite those who misunderstand the concept of the Trinity), or just flat-out denying His existence...boy, can I run a sentence off a cliff, or what? And if you actually read all this, thank you very much for putting up with my personal condensation of the Bible. If you just scrolled down...I'll bet your finger's tired, LoL.

    Okay, speech over. Back to the stuff about me. (How vain did that sound? x_X) Music is one of the things I really enjoy, besides learning more about the One who's granted me eternal life and a personal relationship with Him. There's only one good rock station in Bay City, TX, where I'm living now. Dunno what I'd do without LaunchCast, my personal, customizable, internet radio station.
(Wanna check it out?
)
    Another hobby of mine is anime, obviously. I also like reading (yeah, I'm a bookworm), most outside activities (hiking, horseback riding, arrowhead hunting, etc.), and stuff online, among other things. And coffee. Oh, how I love my coffee. *_*
   I thought I'd try my hand at webmistressing; everyone seems to be doing it these days. The pathetic results of my half-hearted attempt are as follows. Sooner or later I will buckle down and craft this html skeleton into a truly acceptable example of content-laden cyberfun; until then, make do with gnawing on the bare bones.

Favorite quote of the moment: "I've got my eye on you, you shoulderpad-wearing shyster!" ~Maurice Chavez, host of a radio program on GTA:Vice City~

Favorite verse(s) at the moment: 'For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to it, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be manifest that they are wrought in God.'
John 3:17-21

Songs I'm hooked on for the moment: 'Wasteland' by Ten Years and 'Talk' by Coldplay.

What passes for the most recent updates:

02/02/06 - Another year...X_x This is so pathetic. But at least I've done something - links have been gone through again and the whole site has been cleaned up to reflect Yahoo's new left-hand alignment. Huzzah. I'm highly resistant to change, but I think I'm coming around to the new format.

02/01/05 - *major sweatdropping* A whole year between updates...cripes. x_X But I have excuses! *vigorous head nodding* My computer was destroyed, and heavy stuff was going down, and...ah, who am I kidding? Even without all that, I probably wouldn't have updated anyway. -_-;; Well, now I have an awesome poem by my dad on the fanfic page. Read it, it's really deep. That's about it...New Year's Res! More content! *hand over heart*

01/09/04 - Well, it's 12:30, just barely the ninth of January, and wonder of wonders, I've worked on the site. Not much, but the links are cleaned up at least. I noticed belatedly that a few of them were broken, and ToT up and switched domains on me. I forgot they were gonna do that come '04...@_@

12/10/03 - Added a link each in my DBZ charshrine page (a VxB shrine) and Fanfiction page(a VxB fic from the selfsame shrine). They both really rock, so go see!

12/6/03 - Bitmaps upload now! *_* :: notes that they didn't in the past, is totally freaked that they now do :: Go see my airbrushed landscape on the misc pic page! I think it's kinda cool. ^_^;

12/6/03 - Well. Cleaned house a little, so to speak. Blah, stuff...major work possibly upcoming! :: says in a breathlessly excited manner :: Ugh. ~_~ I wonder if a bitmap file will upload.. :: doubts it, but tries anyway ::

11/9/03 - Whoa, long time no update. x_X The site's been static for awhile - obviously - due to a computer crash and other delays. But, I'm back, and hopefully so are, er...'improvements' (i.e. any activity whatsoever). -_-;

4/16/ 03 - Uh...I'm back with a minor update, the concert info on my Radio Stations page. CPR Fest 8, wuhoo!

3/26/03 - Okay, DBZ links up and running, though not completed. ::vanishes to watch said anime::

3/24/03 - Dude. I haven't updated in forever. x_X Will try to get something done before I haveta go tape DBZ, but...it's not lookin' too good. ::notes it's like five minutes til the time it's supposed to come on:: Well, okay, I'll do something after it goes off. *sweatdrop* Really.

3/11/03 - (early morning) *yawn* Finally finished my Gundam Wing links page. Worked on the DBZ one too, but it has a ways to go. So many links of goodness...@_@;;; Am going for the best of the best, though. *pose*

3/9/03 - Well. Don't think I'm leaving today, it may be a couple weeks. More time to work on the site! Have now routed everything so that it links to the appropriate place - just click on each page title to get to its parent directory. Also a Yu-Gi-Oh! page up in the Pic Pages, with Exodia keeping guard til I can put some other pics in there.

3/6/03 - Two more wavs in the music section. New page in the Funny Fun section. I'm moving - again - and the site will be static for awhile since the computer where I'm going is fried. Hopefully we'll get it fixed soon. Am going to try to add some more content before I leave on Sunday.

3/5/03 - (afternoon) The section on DBZ moves is up, it's crappy right now because I just ran through it quickly, covering the bases so to speak. Will finesse it later.

3/5/03 - (early morning) I finally got my music section up, even though it consists of one lonely little wav and a handful of midis to keep him company. -_-;;

2/03 - Added another section, Funny Fun. It's...funny fun. *_* Have my first DBZ fanfic up too, though I only have up to chapter five available at the moment.
