Death Piggy: Bass and Vocals
GWAR: Originally Bass and Vocals, now Vocals
X-Cops: Bass
Dave Brockie Experience: Bass and Vocals
Before Death Piggy, Dave has played in a bunch of crappy punk bands including Nuclear Dog Shit, The Suburbans, Yam on Wheels and Rock and Roll Preists. Dave played on every song off every Death Piggy, GWAR, X-Cops and the upcoming Dave Brockie Experience release. GWAR's only original member. Also a comic artist for the Slavepit and author whose credits are Whargoul and GWAR's autobiography
Death Piggy: Guitar
GWAR: Guitar
Became GWAR guitarist after Steve Douglas, the second Death Piggy guitarist left, he came in as Mr. Magico, eventually quitting in 1987. He was on Death Piggy's first two e.p.'s Love War and Death Rules the Fairway and GWAR's video GWAR Must be Destroyed from 1987.
Death Piggy: Drums
GWAR: Drums
Sean Sumner was Death Piggy's drummer until 1985 when he began a year sentence in jail on assault charges after stabbing the guy who his girlfriend was cheating with. After he got out, he took back his spot as the drummer in both GWAR and the fading Death Piggy. As a drummer for several bands at the time, GWAR was too many, so he quit in 1987. He played on Death Piggy's first two e.p.'s Love War and Death Rules the Fairway and on the GWAR Must Be Destroyed Video in 1987. Saddly, in 1996 Sean committed suicide.
Death Piggy: Guitar
GWAR:Bass(I think) then switched to Guitar
Steve Douglas joined Death Piggy in 1985 to replace Russ Bahorsky. Also, he happened to be GWAR's original guitarist when GWAR started as a spoof in 1985. Quitting and returning as Balsac the Jaws of Death (the second one). He played on the last Death Piggy e.p. R45 and GWAR's first album Hell-O before quitting while on GWAR's tour in 1988 to be replaced by the ultimate Mike Derks. Currently, he plays in a band called Log.
Death Piggy: Drums
Gwar: Drums
He was the replacement for Sean Sumner. Only playing on Death Piggy's final e.p. R45, he was GWAR's original drummer completing the Sphincter brothers. He was thus replaced by Sean when he returned in 1986.
GWAR: Vocals
Oderus gave up vocal duties just to play bass and let this guy sing. Imagine that. Ben lasted a few shows before coming down with extreme stage fright one night running down the street from the venue screaming. He was replaced by...
GWAR: Vocals
Joey Slutman replaced Johnny and was the last singer before Oderus would handle the roll. He sang in a Lemme Kilmister type voice which actually kinda fit with GWAR but you can still here him on the video GWAR Must Be Destroyed in 1987.
GWAR: Guitar
One of GWAR's earliest guitar players, he played in a Beefcake the Mighty type helmet. Remaining friends over the years with the current GWAR, Cornelius returned on We Kill Everything and played guitar on "Jaggermonsta".
GWAR: Guitar
The new Sphincter switched to guitar for a couple of shows before also being replaced by Steve Douglas who returned as Balsac II on guitar.
GWAR: Bass
GWAR's bassist that was hired when Oderus decided to sing.
GWAR: Bass
He played some shows as the original Balsac before being replaced by Steven Douglas.
GWAR: Drums
He was Sean Sumner's replacement for a few shows as part of the Sphincter brothers. When Ron "Stephen Sphincter" Curry quit, he changed his name to Hans Orifice and in 1989 played a short replacement for Ron "Nipleus Erectus" Mosby.
GWAR: Bass
After a series of member overturns, GWAR seemed like a revolving door of members until long lasting Beefcake Mike Bishop joined the band. Described as the highly sensitive member of the group, Mike Bishop, one of GWAR's longest lasting members has laid his bass work on GWAR's first four albums and e.p., Hell-O, Scumdogs of the Universe, America Must Be Destroyed, The Road Behind e.p., and This Toilet Earth. He quit in 1994 to further persue his side project Kepone, a band he started in 1992 with Tim Hariss. Mike Bishop returned in 1998 when asked to replace Casey Orr and played bass on GWAR's latest album We Kill Everything as well. After taking part in the tour, he went back with Kepone.
GWAR: Guitar
Only second lead guitarist after Cornelius Carnage, Dewey came in as Flattus I and stayed for a rather long time in the band. He layed his licks on the albums Hell-O and Scumdogs of the Universe, quitting before he had the chance to record the third album.
GWAR: Drums
Replacing Hans Sphincter, Ron, drummed on GWAR's first album, Hell-O only.
GWAR: Guitar
X-Cops: Guitar
Dave Brockie Experience: Guitar
After Steven Douglas left, in came Mike Derks from (admittedly) crappy band Dent, and he's been in the band ever since as Balsac. He's played on every GWAR, X-Cops and Dave Brockie Experience upcoming release thus far that has come after Hell-O. He remains the band's current rythm guitarist.
GWAR: Drums
So, Hans Orifice replaced Nipleus and this guy replaced Hans all in 1989. He was replaced by...
GWAR: Drums
X-Cops:Vocals on "Barbells" and Drums
Dave Brockie Experience: Drums
Originally from a band called Rosebud. After the succession of drummer, who like in Spinal Tap, all died, it was all thanks to this guy who, after being let out of the icy Antartic tomb, beat Nipleus to death with his snare drum while analy raping him to become GWAR's new drummer and he's been there ever since. He has played on every GWAR release that came after Hell-O. He did not play drums on the X-Cops album You Have the Right to Remain Silent however he did sing on the song "Barbells" and played on the X-Cops single "Beat you Down" b/w "Junkie" and plays on the upcoming release from Dave Brockie Experience.
GWAR: Guitar
X-Cops: Guitar
After Dewey (the previous Flattus) quit GWAR, from Texas thrash metal band Rigormortis stepped in the goofier new Flattus, Pete Lee. Unlike the angry, snarling teeth Dewey version, this new version has gotten the nickname, the armored clown. He has played on the albums: This Toilet Earth, RagNaRok, (X-Cops) You Have the Right to Remain Silent, and Carnival of Chaos. Later in the tour, he had to leave GWAR for the time being for some surgery. While he did plan to return, he decided against it and currently his position is being filled by another Flattus.
GWAR: Bass
X-Cops: Vocals
Also coming from the Texas thrash metal band Rigormortis and a band called Blohole not to mention roadying for Ministry in 1992's Lollapalooza, here is the mighty Casey Orr, replacing Mike Bishop. Not only that, he bacame the front man for X-Cops and switched rolls with Dave Brockie. Credentials are: RagNaRok, (X-Cops)You Have the Right to Remain Silent and Carnival of Chaos. In 1998, he also quit but only for the time being so he could concentrate on a new band he put together called The Hellions. He returned after a year is currently GWAR's bass player.
X-Cops: Drums
He came from the bands Rigormortis, Blohole and Skatenigs. Despite what you may think, Brad Roberts did not play drums on the X-Cops album You Have the Right to Remain Silent. They were played by Mike Dunn.
GWAR: Guitar
When both Casey Orr and Pete Lee decided to leave GWAR for one year, GWAR asked 2/3 of Kepone (Mike Bishop and Tim Hariss) to take their places and that's what they did. Originally, Tim played the lead guitar part for GWAR songs "America Must Be Destroyed" from the album of the same name and "Jack the World" from This Toilet Earth. For the first time, an official member of GWAR, he played on only one album, We Kill Everything. After the tour, him and Mike Bishop went back to Kepone.
GWAR: Guitar
Since Pete Lee isn't planning on coming back to GWAR any time soon, the spot is being occupied by this Flattus.
GWAR: on and off keyboardist
X-Cops: Keyboardist and sound sampler
He and Chuck "Sexicutioner" Varga together originally worked on costumes, FX and props for GWAR's stage show from the beginning. Of course Hunter also plays Techno as his stage character. He also now plays new scumdog, Scroda Moon.
Along with Hunter, he worked on GWAR's stage show. He originally was not a stage actor but in circa 1988, he started playing as the Sexicutioner. While not touring as Sexy for the Carnival of Chaos tour, his last show with GWAR was the new years eve show of 1999 and then he quit the Slave Pit and made his own production company.
While he wasn't an official member of the Slave Pit until 1988, GWAR had been friends with him since the beginning. He helped GWAR out in the early days and of late has played a slave, Gor Gor, Skulhedface, Cardinal Syn, and the announcer during the two wrestling tours.
The original version of that ugly dominatrix roaming GWAR's stage. Of course now you know her as Slymenstra Hymen.
The original Sexy, he was replaced by of course Chuck Varga.
This is the original on-stage manager before the famous Sleazy P. Martini. Sluggo looked different in that he had a mowhalk.
GWAR woman number 2. Not quite Slymenstra.
Joining the group in 1988, Don played the groups pimp and pusher on stage manager and also played Techno Destructo's dumber half, Bozo Destructo. Also, a Slave Pit artist. Unfortunately no longer a touring member but still works at the Slave Pit.
This is the real GWAR woman who developed by the early 90's her own version of a feminist named Slymenstra Hymen. Her instruments are whips and scissors as she graces GWAR's stage. She wants to be in film and theatre some day. Also, she managed to turn into a human circuit and charge several thousands of volts of electricity through her thus putting her name in the Guiness Book of World Records.
He plays one of the three on stage GWAR slaves. He's the one with the giant penis. Not only that, he is one of the slave pit's main prop fabricators.
Since joining is currently a slave pit prop maker, special effects guy and artist. Also plays slave with dog muzzle, Flopsy the Cuntfaced boy and X-Sgt. Zypygski in X-Cops.
Another costume fabricater, he also plays the slave with the Knight Mask.
