Right, the PDA
is pretty much a miniaturized portable full-fledged computer system
if you will.
Is that
all?
No, of course
not. If PDA were to be that boring, the shareholders at Palm and
Handspring Inc. wouldn't be driving Merzs, would they?
If you
want to, you can turn your PDA into a remote control, a reflective
mirror (yes, you read us right), a dictionary, a GPS receiver, an
Internet setup box, a handphone, a digital camera, or even an MP3
player.
The end, it seems, is boundless.
Does a
medical student really need this piece of gadgetry?
YES. YES.
YES. ABSOLUTELY. It's now or never, dude. Forget the impotent
handphone you've been eyeing for months, save your money for an
omnipotent PDA instead.
Even a hooker (I was told) carries around
a PDA. God knows why but I suspect it has something to do with
getting herself organized amidst her hectic norturnal commerce
activity. Haha.
Which one should I get?
It depends
on your needs and the amount of cash you are willing to fork out.
For regular med students like us, Palm XE or Handspring Visor would
do.
I chose Visor because of its expandability. (a yet-to-be
unleashed 3-in-1 combo module with Compact Flashcard adapter, audio
player and wireless modem perhaps) | |
