I really like the "onyl short of $0.20 you also want to mention" part. Ya, it's only $0.20 more. And yet this buyer is trying to force me to give her FREE S&H when she doesn't qualify for the offer! Ya, it's only $0.20 mah! And furthermore, "...but your case" implies that she would give a bad rating and that will affect my business. My email:
That is the GIST of my example that someone didn't GET it and then proceeded to twist my example.
I even offered to give her CASE # 'cause she is more than welcomed to make a report. I am very happy & have lots of time to do so if she wants to.
shoptilldrop2003's email:
Now the name-calling starts - she says that I am "inflexible" when any Tom, Dick or Harry can tell who is the unreasonable person who insists on getting Free S&H. Hello, dear, I didn't force you to bid for my stuff. Obviously you can read & write but you don't comprehend what "FREE S&H with every $30 purchase mean. And now it's as if I am cheating you out of your "deserved" S&H! And check out her buyers all always right sentence. Well, I don't see how a buyer who cannot understand that $29.80 is NOT $30 can be ALWAYS RIGHT! Ya, a lot of "fire here". Simply because someone doesn't understand English/Math & still insists on getting her own way. The Giordano example, as mentioned, she didn't get my point. So she goes to say, "i can always back out and say i am not buying even if they have already scanned the item". Ya true. But here at the auctions, every bid is legally binding. Your bid is a contract. And furthermore, you had eyes to read through my auctions (which I assumed you had & you did) - so how can you back out your bid?
My email:
Being super-efficient & a person who keeps her word, of course, I rated her bad
2 days later, as shoptilldrop2003 had mentioned in her email, of course, she dropped me a bad rating (as expected):
Hmm..suddenly, her English standard seemed to have improved drastically. In her emails, there weren't proper sentences (no capital letters nor fullstops) as well as spelling mistakes. And now flawless English? Are you sure it's written by the SAME person??

BRAND NEW Avon Walk Into Summer Pedicure Kit $9.90 Auction # 89504032
BRAND NEW Makeup Charms Bracelet $19.90 Auction # 87978064
Apparently, someone either doesn't understand
1) English
2) Math
3) logic
4) all of the above
If you're a seller, would you think that this is a
1) FRIENDLY & COURTEOUS email OR
2) CURT & RUDE reply?
Apparently, someone couldn't understand my Giordano example. So I have to explain it here.
1) So, duh, if buyers don't honour their bids (through no fault of the seller, may I add), I have to give them GOOD rating is it?
2) Hmm...I don't sound courteous & friendly? Read my emails vs her emails. And you be the judge who's NOT courteous nor friendly!
3) Quoted from her email - Talk to me about no S&H because short of 20 cents. Somehow, again someone cannot see that $29.80 is NOT $30...
4) And ya, I agree Giordano staff will apologise. But once you turn your back, of course the staff would be commenting on your attitude!
Ya, I also agree that I have to give you a bad rating so that potential sellers know exactly what kind of buyer you are.
Some people might argue that "hey, it's only $0.20 less. You should have just closed one eye & give in & you'd make $20++ more". I do make exceptions if the buyers ask me in a NICE manner. However, I cannot stand buyers who bully the sellers & especially so when they think that they are ALWAYS RIGHT. If the buyer had given some basic respect/courtesy and asked NICELY, I'd have been happy to do so and both of us would have a happy transaction. Obviously, this is NOT the case here & I am more than happy not to deal with such a buyer.
