Chapter 5
That ceiling. Filia was sick and tired of looking at Xellos’ ceiling. She wished she had a book to read, something to do, some one to talk to! Anything! But there was nothing to do but sleep, which she had been doing for how many days now? Damn Xellos. Damn him and his boring house. Damn his ceiling too.

Xellos…the very site of him annoyed the living hell out of her. That disgusting, annoying, smiley face. She wanted to punch it in. And his Pantene Pro-V hair! She wanted to set it on fire. But all she could do was lay here on his bed and be weak and helpless while he catered to her every day needs. Damn that Xellos.

“Hello there, Filia my dear,” said Xellos. Geez, does he ever knock?

“What is it.” Filia tried her very best to sound as pissed of as possible.

“Why, it’s time for your special drink.” Xellos put the glass in front of her and placed the straw where she could reach it.

Filia didn’t object. The sooner she drank it, the sooner he would go away. She smiled as the last of the chalky substance went up the straw. She turned around, dismissive of Xellos.

What’s he still doing here?

He’s watching me…

Gross! She turned to face him again.

“Xellos, you can leave now.” He was still standing there, grinning. She began to feel his piggy eyes on her. “Xellos what’s going on?”

“Shush Filia, I’m thinking.”

“About?”

“Sore wa himitsi desu.”

“Xellos, that is so~”

She was silenced by a kiss. Just a peck on the lips, but passionate and disturbing nevertheless.

Filia’s bottom lip trembled. She didn’t know what to do.

She began to cry.

“I can’t believe I was taken advantage of in the weakened state…” Filia continued to whine.

“Oh Filia, must you always make such a big deal out of everything?” That last remark made her cry harder. “Forget it. See you in the morning.”

“Xellos! I am very displeased with you.” Zelas had apparently been waiting for him upstairs.

“My lord!” Xellos knelt in front of her.

“Stand up, Xellos. My orders were to make her as comfortable as possible. Do you know what she’s doing now?”

“Crying, master.”

“And why?”

Xellos gulped. “Because I kissed her…”

“Wrong!”

“Huh?”

“It was because you made her uncomfortable. If you’re going to kiss her, make sure you have her permission first. Is that clear?”

“Yes, my lord.”

“Now Xellos, if you please. Go downstairs and cheer her up.”

“How do you suggest I do that?”

“Well, I don’t know…whatever would make one of her kind happy. Puppets or something of the like.”

“Uh…allright then.”

Xellos went back downstairs.

“Cheer her up? How the hell…”
