Prelude
"Yes, Greater Beast?" Xellos teleported next to the Dark Lord and saw the human, who was quite surprised and confused.
"I want to teach you a new magic spell that I concocted only yesterday. It's quite useful."
"Yes, my lord."
A purplish glow came from Zelas' hands and slowly expanded towards the frightened human.
Zelas shouted, "Weakening!”
The human appeared to have difficulty moving; after crawling away a few paces; he stopped, his muscles aching from the strain.
"What happened," asked Xellos inquisitively.
"It's quite simple really. This unique spell I made absorbs most of the physical and all of the magical strength of the target."
"A useful trick."
"Indeed. And there's a cure, too, but it takes weeks to administer." Zelas picked up the human and flung it in the woods for the wolves to find. "It's vital that you know the cure, Xellos. Follow me."
Xellos spent days in Zelas' private palace, mastering the cure from her. When it was all over, she told him this:
"Xellos, remember this one thing: Do not use this spell on anyone unless I tell you to. Understand?"
"Of course."
