Can it be??? Has Nintendo lost there mind?? Can link really fit in a 2.6"
inch screen????
As it turns yes Link can Fit in to a tiny game boy screen,
but no Nintendo hasn't lost there minds. In fact Nintendo will start a
revolution in the hand held market with this new game. The release of The Legend
Of Zelda Link's Awakening would be the start of many Zelda games to follow on
the game boy systems as well as become the number one selling game for any hand
held system.
Nintendo new it
had a hard hitter
with this new game.
This game would become so
Popular that Nintendo would
re-release it on the
Game Boy Color in
1998. The release of
Link's Awakening DX
would add not only
a new colorful look to the game but it would also add a
new hidden dungeon that would use this new colorful look in its puzzle's.
Taking advantage of the GBC's color screen,
Nintendo added color coded
puzzle system. It also added a photo feature.
Players could activate
this by doing a cretin action in the game
at which point a
camera shop owner would appear and
snap a shot to be later viewed at his whop in a village.
The pictures could later be printed
by the Game boy printer.
As for the
story of this game not many people agree on how it fist's
in the Zelda series. But this aside it's new look in to the world of Link's
adventures out side of the land of Hyrule. This game is the first game to
feature a different land in which Link is forced to protect. It starts out with
link sailing back to Hyrule after training on far away lands only to end up ship
wreaked on the small but troubled island of Koholint. When he awakes he
finds the kind of hart Train and his daughter Marin have cared for him
while he was injured. Trapped on This Island Link is told by a strange Owl, in
order to return home he would have to wake the wind fish and to do so he would
have
to retrieve 8 interments from the wind Fish's
nightmares.
This game proved to be a fun and fulfilling adventure and started a revolution
in the hand held gaming community that would be hard to follow up.
