| Items can be traded throughout the game. You will need to get the magnifying glass to finish Link's Awakening. Here is a list of all the trades. |

| YOSHI DOLL Go to the Trendy Shop in Mabe Village and grab the Yoshi Doll with the crane. You need to pay 10 rupees for every attempt. |
| RIBBON Give the Yoshi Doll to Papahl's wife who wants it for her baby (Northern Mabe Village House.) |
| CAN OF DOG FOOD Give the ribbon to the little chain chomp living in the kennel next to Madame Meow Meow's house in Mabe Village. |
| BANANAS Give the dog food to the alligator who lives in Sale's House of Bananas, on the beach in the South. |
| STICK Give the bananas to Kiki The Monkey near Kamelot Castle and he will leave you a stick after building a bridge. (You must do this to complete Richards Quest.) |
| HONEYCOMB (This can only be done after completing the Key Cavern) On Ukuku Prairie there is a tree, with a honeycomb on it. Give the stick to Tarin standing nearby. |
| PINEAPPLE Give the honeycomb to the bear living in the south east house of Animal Village. |
| HIBISCUS Go up to Tal Tal Heights. Use the cave that led you to the Angler's Tunnel. When wading through the shallow water, enter the cave just below where Papahl is waving. Go through it and you can reach him and give him the pineapple |
| LETTER Give the hibiscus to the goat in Animal Village. |
| BROOM Give the letter to Mr Write who lives at the edge of the Mysterious Woods. |
| FISHING HOOK Give the broom to Ulrira's wife in Mabe Village, who has lost hers. |
| NECKALACE Dive under the bridge in Martha's Bay. Use the feather to jump on the boat. Give the fishing hook to the fisherman. |
| MERMAIDS SCALE Give the necklace to the Mermaid swimming in Martha's Bay. |
| MAGNIFYING LENS Go one screen down from the bridge at Martha's Bay. Use the hookshot on the far left stone to cross the gap. Go UP 1, LEFT 1. Touch the mermaid statue to put the scale in. Go down the stairwell that appears. Go up and get the magnifying lens. |
