Team of Heroes Face Off Against Mastermind

[CU] Last night, in the college town of Athens, WV, three superheores faces off against a deadly enemy - the diabolical Dr Victor von Krider. However, the battle was not in their favor, and von Krider's villainous plan came to fruition. We interviewed the champions of justice who attempted to put a stop to the doctor's mad schemes.

"Yeah, here's still not entirely sure just what his plans were," said one of the heroes, identifying herself only as 'Catholic Schoolgirl Ninja'. "It's just that they're so complicated and subtle. For all I know, he may have been distracting us while his henchmen moved our furniture three inches to the left as part of some grand master plan. You just can't predict the guy."

"What's worse is his speeches," added her teammate, Human Stench. "By the superhero-supervillain code of conduct, we have to allow the villain to explain his entire plan in detail before the battle begins."

They explained that the difficulty with von Krider is that his speeches are so long and convoluted that often, by the time he's finished speaking, the plan has already been completed.

"What's worse is that we think he may be able to drain away a person's time through his speeches," said Stench.

"Yes, a temporal vampire," added the third member of the team, Legomancer. "We would have been all right if Attention Deficit Boy had been there. He's the only one with an attention span short enough to survive a speech by von Krider."

We sought out the missing 'Attention Deficit Boy' to ask his opinion on these recent unfortunate events.

"Yeah, I they probably told me to be there, but I forgot. It's like those signs in the halls, with the times and stuff? I keep forgetting about those too. And hey, that reminds me, I was talking to Legomancer last week and had this great idea where-"

It proved impossible to distract Attention Deficit Boy from his lengthy speech, which seemed to simply be stream-of-consciousness. We gave up on learning anything from him and went back to the team to ask if, perhaps, something could have gone differently.

"Well, we think there was a warning for us," said Catholic Schoolgirl Ninja. "A strange short man appeared wearing a glittering yellow cape and a strange hat. I think there was something about von Krider in what he said to us, but his accent was so strong none of us understood a word of it."

Apparently, after giving his unknown warning, the man vanished without a trace. There is some speculation he may have been a time traveler. And only time will tell what diabolical plan Dr Victor von Krider is developing.
