I remember the time someone walked up
And put some change into a familiar blue machine.
They pushed a button, and there was an odd grinding noise,
Like something had broken inside.
I nearly went deaf in there with all that commotion,
And would have, too, if I had ears.
But then I came hurtling down the chute and, nearly broke their kneecap.
It was one of those crazy machines.
After hearing some things I don't think I should repeat,
I was lifted of the ground, wiped clean, and opened up.
For those who have never felt it, having your top punched in gives one a nasty headache.
Though by the time I had noticed it, I was empty.
Seconds later, I was tossed into a paper bag, crushed flat, and thrown away.
Now, lying at the bottom of a dumpster, I have come to one simple conclusion -
This has really not been my day.
