Alistair switches from guitar to bass, leaving James to handle all guitars and in September, rehearsals begin in earnest. MARCH 2000 Zen Arcade makes its debut on Friday 31 March at Abelarde Sanction in Brixton,The band receives an excellent response. Most of the set is captured on video. MAY 2000 Friday 5 May - Zen Arcade's second appearance at Abelarde Sanction. Although the audience is smallish, the vibe is excellent and the band plays a confident, relaxed set, airing Take Out the Trash for the first time in public. General dancing and unruliness ensues. Overall, great response, an enjoyable gig in every respect. |
