Bat Mating

Sexual maturity of a Vampire Bat is said to be around 9 months of age.

Mating season for Vampire Bats is known to be year round.

Bat Offspring, are said to be carried in the womb for 6 to 8 months before birth.

Bats' ability to reproduce is limited to having one Offspring per birth due to the fact that the Bat must remain light in weight in order to maintain flight ability.

Baby Bats are born blind and cannot open their eyes until the first week is up.

The Mother Bat must carry the Offspring for up to three weeks, until it is able to take its' first flight.

While roosting upside down in the security of a cave Bats find conditions to be ideal for mating.
