| Sexual maturity of a Vampire Bat is said to be around 9 months of age. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Mating season for Vampire Bats is known to be year round. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Bat Offspring, are said to be carried in the womb for 6 to 8 months before birth. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Bats' ability to reproduce is limited to having one Offspring per birth due to the fact that the Bat must remain light in weight in order to maintain flight ability. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Baby Bats are born blind and cannot open their eyes until the first week is up. | ||||||||||||||||||
| The Mother Bat must carry the Offspring for up to three weeks, until it is able to take its' first flight. | ||||||||||||||||||
| While roosting upside down in the security of a cave Bats find conditions to be ideal for mating. | ||||||||||||||||||
