Zenji227's Web Philosophy

Why Was This Site Built?

When I first came on line I found there were many people willing to help with almost anything. In return for the many free utilities and programs they linked me to at their sites, I decided that I also wanted to get the charge of helping others. While this was once a central based I used to search the web, I decided to fix it up more and open it to the public. I hope you find it useful. Page building can bring out the hidden artist in you! You'll find the finest free tools and utilities here. Those that want to go beyond the basic features most site page editors provide will have to learn a little something about HTML and JAVA code. Think about it. The home page is free, the software is free, and you have classes you can take whenever you get the time. I can guarantee you that building even a simple page will make you feel ten feet all. Instead a writing down the address of others pages, why got give your own? I know you'd like to make their eyes pop out with admiration, so why don't you. Everything is here. Click on the Links button to begin. Before I start Blogging I'd like to get you started on your new "Blue tooth," Digital lifestyle.

Registering With Engines

The button below links you to a place that lets visitors use their site to register with major engines for free. They will also do this for you, but there is a charge involved. I advise you not to be lazy, and to register your site on your own. We also provide training in this area. What good does it do to have your URL submitted to hundreds of search engines when most people only use the top 20? The majority of submissions will go to small, little know platforms. I strongly suspect that these firms design many of them themselves. There are sites that tell you how to build one, so doing this isn't that challenging. The best tools have an extensive database, that brings back good hits the majority of the time, but none is perfect. Weaker ones gather a high percentage of unrelated sites when you run a query. Many little known search tools deserve to remain obscure, so getting listed with them won't do very much good as far as generating traffic.

Once our students finish their home pages, they move on to search engines. Using them regularly teaches them how to write good listings. Those without this background often make major mistakes when it comes to composing submissions.

Testing Search Engines

I test engines by searching for other search engines, and unusual things like red silk gloves. If the list is short, or the query brings back nothing, the database isn't comprehensive. Before you push the button below to register your site, I recommend that you test the engines you list your site with. Many of the more popular ones have gotten a reputation they don't deserve. It does you no good to submit to one that won't bring up your page up within the first few screen loads of links. Just like you, others tire of skimming long lists of information they don't want. When you have done your research, use the button below to register your page.

Getting A COM Site

You are usually not permitted to conduct business from a home page, although there are loop holes you can exploit. If you're thinking about a Com site, I'ts a good idea to test your search engine submission skills with a free site before spending a lot of money. Even if you're accepted, you should know most people will never see your listing. They will click on the first major site they find. This means you'll have to get some way to get them to visit your Com site. If you can attract, and hold visitors, chances are much better that you'll at least make enough to cover operating costs.

Many don't realize there are many costs involved in running a site. You'll need a domain name, have to pay a monthly charge to those that park your site on their server, and finally, you'll have to pay around a couple hundred bucks a month to be able to take credit card orders. If you aren't getting hits, and making sales, this situtation can eat you up. Yes, there is plenty of money to be made on the Internet, but it often goes to those that provide Web services.

The button below links you to a place that will lease you space on their server. This will give you some idea of the price. Be sure to use the search engines to check out more. Like all companies in this business, they will charge you a monthly service fee. It will cost you around one hundred dollars to register a domain name. It's important that you gain some degreee programming skill before getting a Com site. Those who can't administrate their own site will have to pay even more money. If you can design the site yourself for nothing, Why pay a set up, and administration fee?

If you're just curious about what this would involve, take a trip to a provider and find out. To see about getting your own COM site, click the button below. Remember there are many crooks, and incompetents in this business, so don't sign up until you shop around, and do all the necessary research. Many sites fail because this important ground work wasn't done.
