Album Review

Rust in Peace

Guitar player Jeff Young quits under pressure of producer Mustaine. He creates his own band, Broken Silence. Chuck Behler is also out of the picture as guitarist Marty Friedman steps in. As the sands of time run out, drummer Nick Menza stops the roulette wheel of temporary band members.

When the dust settles, the forecast calls for a heavy assault on the ears as we hear interchanging solos and riffs that can only boil down to an essential metal album. It doesn't get much better than this. It shows the high standards of Megadeth and sets the standard for other bands to follow. --MegaData
