The future is beset by demons how will humanity save itself? Make female robots of course! And why stop with just normal robots, lets give them SMJ syndrom and make them love the person that awakens them! Thats Steel Angel Kurumi in a nut shell.
Nakahito is forced into a 'mad scientists' lab, an attack causes Kurumi to fall towards him, they kiss and BANG say hello to your robot super powered Maid.
It gets a bit more indepth when the creator gets injured and kidnapped and the Steel Angels and 'master' go out to find him. |

OVA quailty artwork, very very nice. Eyes are a tad odd but you get used to them....the music was good the first time but you hear it ALOT! (they sing it in the show alot) |

Its a combination of Tenchi and SMJ. Boy awakens robot, robot loves boy. It takes an odd twist from their. The boy only really has eyes for her, one robot loves her 'older sister' robot, thats wrong on so many levels. |

Alot of character types. First the robots, you have the perky, the shy, and the bitch. Nice and rounded, Kurumi and Saki daydream about their loves WAY to much. Nakahito...kid has it ruff, has to watch his friends fight all the time. |

It has a nice SOLID ending, not the usual for most anime's. Leaves you feeling bit happy and fullfilled. Could have had a bit more closure but hey its not Shakespeare. |

Indepth fight scenes. Nice amount of fanservice...almost bordering to much (still no where near Yohko though) Emotional conext and...those 'Angels' are a tad...needy. They think oddly ALOT. |

Ok, its got alot of fanservice, it has 10 minute episodes (big let down). Dispite the chest shots it does have an interesting storyline. Again we see Japan will be the first Nation to make robots and they WILL be female.
The pairings are kinda off too, which adds to the series flair (and uneasiness) Kurumi and Nakahito is neat as its a solid pair, not a normal thing, Karinka has a crush on him but thats the extent of the girls that like the lead character, save the stalking military agent. Saki...well Saki loves her sister (Kurumi) in more than a sisterly way...I WON'T go there. A few other pairs of characters are there but they actually ADD to the story. It IS worth a watch, dispite the flaws its a funny show, lots of chibi's ^_^ |
