The Big Bang!
The Big Bang theory is the most widely accepted by astronomers all over the world. It holds that about 15 billion years ago the universe began with the explosive expansion of a single, extremely dense matter, the primordial mass. What does the Quran say about the origin of our universe? The first of life form appeared in water and everything else from it.
English translation of Sura Al-Anbiya (The Prophets) , verse 30
Do not the unbelievers see that the Heavens and the earth were joined
together, then We split them apart. We made from water every living thing.
Will they not then believe?
Sura Al- Fatiha
Expanding Universe
The recent discovery that the universe is expanding is explained clearly in this beautiful verse in the Quran by Allah subhano tala (God).
English translation of Sura Az-Zariyat (The Winds that Scatter) , verse 47
And the firmament, We constructed with power and skill and verily We are expanding it
Existence of Sun's Orbit
After years of reserach and probes, scientists all over the world have come to the conclusion that everything, including the Sun, is revolving in its orbit around other celestial objects and clusters. This fact was revealed by Allah in the Quran much earlier.
English translation of Sura Al- Anbiya (The Prophets) , verse 33
It is He who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each
in its orbit with its own motion.
Protective Atmosphere
The atmosphere has protective qualities, like the presence of the Ozone layer, which save us from ultra violet radition of the Sun and it saves us from the meteoroids.

And We have made the atmosphere a protective roof, yet do they turn away from the Signs which these
things point to.
Embryology

* Fertilization is brought about by one sperm cell among millions.

Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump;
then We made out of the lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then We developed out of
it another creature.So blessed be Allah, the best to create!
* The internal ears appear followed by the eyes, and the brain (site of understanding) builds up last.
English translation of Sura As- Sajdah (the Prostration) , verse 4
And He (God) gave you hearing and sight and feeling and understanding; little thanks do ye give!
