Ruined Part 9
Cameron had thought about what Chase had said over and over again.
She knew she wanted House back, but the question was would he take
her back?
She'd been nervous all morning, and now she found herself pacing in
the lab. She had looked up to see Chase watching her, and she tried
to smile.
He smiled back, knowing she was going to try to be happy again. "Good
for you." He said quietly.
When the tests she'd been running finally finished, Cameron took the
results and headed for Dr. House's office.
When Cameron reached his office, she stood in the hallway for a
moment, looking in.
House was behind his desk, turned sideways with his feet up on his
cabinet, watching his soap opera. His left hand was up, resting
against the side of his face. His fingers were gently massaging his
temple, blocking his view of anything other than his television.
Cameron took a deep breath and walked in.
He didn't look away from the tv. "Go away."
She knew she didn't know it was her... or, at least, she hoped he
didn't. She walked farther into his office.
"I said go away." He said again.
She went to his tv and shut it off, coming into his view for the
first time.
House set his feet on the floor and sat up straight, surprised to see
her there in front of him. He'd felt like she would avoid direct
contact with him for forever.
She didn't know what to say at first. She'd had something all planned
out, but now with him there, her mind went blank. "Greg..." she said
slowly. "I want to tell you... that I'm sorry. I've made some stupid
decisions." She paused to think. "I was afraid. Not just for my
reputation, but for-... I know you still have some feelings for Stacy.
I was afraid she might come between us... and I couldn't bear to lose
you to her... or anyone."
When he didn't say anything, she continued.
"I pushed you away... but I was wrong. Those few months we were
together... they were some of the best months of my life."
He looked down at his fingers, drumming the desk nervously.
"I want that back... I want you back." She paused, handling the test
results in her hands nervously. "If you don't want me back, I'll-...
I'll understand."
House didn't look up at her.
She looked down at the papers she was holding, and then set them on
his desk. After looking hopefully at him one more time, she turned
and left, feeling defeated and foolish.

That night, Cameron had settled herself on the couch and ended up
watching a movie on Lifetime. She felt emotionally and physically
exhausted, so she was glad that Chase and Foreman hadn't tried to get
her to go out to any bars.
During a commercial break, she got up to make some popcorn. As she
stood at the counter, Lily wound herself between Cameron's feet.
"No, you can't have any." Cameron laughed, pulling the popcorn out of
the microwave and dumping it into a large bowl. Before she left the
kitchen, she reached into a cabinet and grabbed a couple treats for
Lily. "Here, Lils." She set the treats on the floor, grabbed her
popcorn and went back into the living room.
There was a knock on the door, so she set the bowl on the coffee
table and went to answer it.
She didn't know why, but she was surprised to see House standing
there. "Dr. House..."
"Don't call me that." He said gruffly as she stepped aside to let him
in.
Cameron shut the door behind him and stood there awkwardly. "...what
should I call you?"
"Well, don't talk to me like I'm your boss right now." He said,
looking around her apartment as she stood behind him, waiting. When
House finally turned back to her, he knew it was too late to turn
tail and run.
"Um... would you like something to drink? Or something to eat?"
He shook his head and spotted the bowl of popcorn and the movie on
the tv. "Am I interrupting you?"
"Oh, uh, no. I was just going to watch a movie." She grabbed the
remote and shut the tv off. "It was just a repeat." She took the
blanket that had fallen on the floor and threw it over the back of
the couch. "Do you want to sit down?"
He didn't say anything, but walked over and sat down at the right
end of the couch.
Cameron went around the coffee table. "Are you sure you don't want
anything to drink?"
"I'm sure. Stop fussing." He was tapping his cane on the floor.
She pulled on her fingers nervously as she went over and sat down
next to House (but not too close). Out of the corner of her eye, she
saw him look at her, so she looked up at him.
House wanted to say something, but she could see he was having a hard
time getting it out.
"I'm not good at this type of stuff..." Even that small confession was
hard for House to handle. He turned to face Cameron. "I don't have
feelings for Stacy." He began.
She just sat and listened.
"You would never lose me to her, because I don't want her. I want
you."
She felt like she was holding her breath. She looked up into his - at
the moment - shy eyes. "Greg. I want to be with you again." She moved
a little closer to him. "So, what should we do? Should we-"
She was cut off when his lips covered her's. At once, the weight from
her shoulders disappeared.
They kissed for a few minutes, then broke apart to catch their
breath. House went right to her neck, kissing a trail up to her jaw,
and then biting softly on her earlobe.
Cameron sighed happily, but pulled away from him.
He looked at her, confused.
She stood up and motioned for him to follow her. She left the room
and disappeared into her dark bedroom.
House got up and followed, stopping short just inside her bedroom. He
couldn't see the light switch, so he went over and opened the blinds
to let the moonlight in. Then he realized that she wasn't in the
room. "Allison?"
The door to the attached bathroom opened and she stepped out, wearing
only her matching black lace bra and thong. "I'm coming, I'm coming."
She said, thinking he'd called out in impatience.
Once he saw her, he sat down on the edge of her bed. "Well don't
start without me."
She smiled and crawled onto his lap, his hands immediately going to
her waist. She reached down and unbuttoned and unzipped his jeans.
She put a hand on his chest and pushed him, his back hitting her
bed.
An amused grin appeared on his lips as she crawled up his body until
she could look down directly into his eyes. Her hair fell around his
head like a curtain.
His hands ran over her body, from her shoulders down to her ass. He
hooked his hands on the back of her thighs, pulling her apart.
She moaned and leaned down, kissing him aggressively. She was already
writhing above him, wanting badly to remove his clothes but not
wanting to pull away from him. She made herself pull back and got off
the bed, grabbing his jeans and pulling them off of him.
House sat up and pulled his shirt off, tossing it over the side of
her bed.
Before she got back on the bed, she reached behind her, unclipped her
bra and let it fall to the floor.
"Mmm." House smiled, looking over her body as if seeing her for the
first time. He backed up on her bed until he was leaning back against
her headboard. "Lose the thong."
Cameron raised an eyebrow. "Lose the boxers."
He pulled his boxers off as he watched her inch her thong down over
her legs and kick it behind her.
"Get over here."
She looked between his legs and saw that he was already hard. Very
hard. She smiled mischievously and crawled back onto his lap.
His hands rested on her back for a moment before he brought them
around to cup her breasts.
Cameron closed her eyes and arched towards him. Inching closer to
him, she let his penis rub against her clit.
House inhaled sharply, moving one hand to her ass, pulling her closer
against him. She was already breathing heavily and the feel of his
body beneath her - his skin against her skin - was driving her mad.
Leaning forward, she bit his earlobe softly and sighed in his ear.
"Oh, I want you."
Hearing that, he wasted no time in pulling her up and setting her
back down on him. He not only heard, but felt her moan as he eased
himself inside her. He put both of his hands under her and pulled her
tight against his body.
She gripped the top of the headboard, just behind his shoulders, as
she rocked aggressively above him.
For once, House didn't hold back his moans and the sound of him was
bringing Cameron to the edge even faster. "Ohh..." he thrust up against
her, his fingers gripping her ass.
"Greg," she bent her head forward and pulled her fingers from over
the top of the headboard.
The headboard to her bed was hitting the wall loudly now.
Cameron let out a moan as she hit the edge, her muscles tightening
around him as he thrust into her.
House came soon after, pushing into her one last time and leaning his
head back against the wall. "Huh..." he sighed heavily as she rested on
top of him. "I missed that."
She let out a quiet little laugh, nuzzling into the crook of his
neck. "Me too."
He was quiet as she climbed off of him and they lay together in her
bed. He wanted to tell her how he felt, but he was afraid at the same
time. He sighed inwardly. "I missed you."
She lifted her head to look him in the eye. He looked away shyly and
she smiled. "I missed you too." She kissed him softly on his temple.
When he smiled, she kissed him on the lips.
They soon fell asleep, both smiling.
